    Mit Quentin Dupieuxs aka Mr.Oizo kann ich ansonsten wenig anfangen, weder Wrong, Wrong Cop noch Die Wache haben mir zugesagt.

    Das müsste Colossal sein, oder? Ein selten unangenehmer Film über toxische Maskulinität, der sich sehr erfolgreich als Kaiju Eiga-Komödie tarnt.

    Kann ich so durchaus zustimmen. Die Werke haben durchaus was und sichte ich deutlich lieber als die xte Variante und Kopie von XYZ. Der Humor ist wahrlich speziell und absurd, können wenige mit, aus dem Freundeskreis schüttelnd auch die meisten beim Sichten von Rubber oder als sie in der Sneak (leider, leider Synchronisiert) Die Wache gesehen haben. Rubber hat deutlich Mehrwert je mehr Film man gesehen hat bzw. sich mit dem Medium auseinandersetzt.

    Nope es ist nicht Colossal, zumindest habe ich das Zitat daher nicht direkt im Kopf und an einen anderen Streifen gedacht.

    Huch. Jetzt hab ich grad gegoogelt und stelle fest, dass der Dialog in Colossal offenbar ein (nicht erkennbares) Zitat war - offenbar war da der Drehbuchautor von Colossal Fan des gesuchten Films. Dank Google weiß ich es jetzt und halte die Klappe.

    Besten Dank für die Info. Werde ich beim nächsten Sichten von Colossal (wann das auch immer sein wird) achten.

    Nicht ganz, könnte aber in die Richtung der Tendenz passen.

    Im Kino in Deutschland auf Englisch gesehen, lief aber auch generell in sehr wenigen Kinos in Deutschland.

    Sofern ich weiss, ist jedoch der Streifen auf Englisch ingsgesamt auch wegen dem Sprachmix deutlich verbreiteter.


    Problematisch bei dem Zitat ist, dass jeder der den Streifen gesehen hat sofort identifizieren könnte was es ist, so explizit und oft wie DMT zur Sprache kommt und "inszeniert" wird.

    ja, da hast du vollkommen recht. Für mich der schickste Meta-Film überhaupt. Wirklich Synekdoche, den fand ich unfassbar bemüht, aber auf Being John Malkovich kann man sich ja mal wirklich einigen. Super Film. Und Vergiss-mein-Nicht nicht zu vergessen. Anomalisa habe ich immer noch nicht geschaut.

    Noch etwas zu Strange Days: Ich fand den Film auch sehr, sehr gut. Ich bin allerdings immer wieder überrascht, dass den wirklich kaum einer kennt. Und das bei dem nicht gerade blassem Cast: Ralph Fiennes, Juliet Lewis, Angela Bassett... und noch ein paar mehr sehr bekannte Gesichter, deren Namen ich aber leider auch schon wieder vergessen habe. Um so mehr freut es mich, dass er hier seine Erwähnung bekommen hat. :thumbsup:

    Y'know what I was thinking about today? I was thinking 'bout those street gangs they had down in Los Angeles, those Crips and those Bloods? I was thinking about that buncha new laws they came up with, in the 1980's I think it was, to combat those street-gangs, those Crips and those Bloods. And, if I remember rightly, the gist of what those new laws were saying was if you join one of these gangs, and you're running with 'em, and down the block one night, unbeknownst to you, one of your fellow Crips, or your fellow Bloods, shoot up a place, or stab a guy, well then, even though you didn't know nothing about it, and even though you may've just been standing on a streetcorner minding your own business, what these new laws said was you're still culpable. You're still culpable, by the very act of joining those Crips, or those Bloods, in the first place. Which got me thinking, Father, that whole type of situation is kinda like your Church boys, ain't it? You've got your collars, you've got your clubhouse, you're, for want of a better word, a gang. And if you're upstairs smoking a pipe and reading a bible while one of your fellow gang members is downstairs fucking an altar boy then, Father, just like those Crips, and just like those Bloods, you're culpable. Cos you joined the gang, man. And I don't care if you never did shit or you never saw shit or you never heard shit. You joined the gang. You're culpable.
