Seit heute gibt es eine Folgekampagne inklusive Erweiterungen/AddOns:
Externer Inhalt www.kickstarter.comInhalte von externen Seiten werden ohne deine Zustimmung nicht automatisch geladen und angezeigt.4X ist normalerweise weitab von dem, was ich jemals wieder spielen möchte - aber hier ist das Thema endlich mal nicht "Weltraum/Aliens" sondern bodenständige, kleine Lebewesen die um ihr Überleben kämpfen.
Außerdem erinnert es mich an #Myrmes - und das Spiel mag ich.
Leider habe ich nicht sonderlich viele Spielberichte hier im Forum gefunden - eigentlich gar keine.
An die, die es (noch) haben: Wie ist das Spiel? Lohnt es sich einzusteigen?

Wann 'lohnt' es sich denn für Dich, zu spielen? Ich kann mit dem Begriff, auf Freizeitaktivitäten bezogen, nichts anfangen.

Das "lohnen" bezieht sich darauf, ob ich von meinen doch begrenzten Ressourcen (Geld, Frei-Zeit) etwas für dieses Spiel abzwicke.
Entscheiden kann ich das aber erst, nachdem ich vielleicht von kompetenten Mitbenutzern hier im Forum ein paar Eindrücke vom Spiel lesen kann, die dann alle anderen Informationsquellen die mir zur Verfügung stehen (BGG, YouTube etc.) hierzu abrunden.
Nach meinen negativen Erlebnissen meiner Ausflüge in die Welt von 4X mit dem Thema Weltraum (Eclipse, Xia) bin ich unsicher ob es an der Mischung liegt (4x<>Weltraum) oder ob 4X generell nichts für mich ist; vom Thema her finde ich´s erfrischend und reizvoll.
Wenn ich dann deren Spielberichte mit dem abgleiche, was den Personen sonst noch gefällt, ergibt sich für mich eine Entscheidungsgrundlage für oder gegen das Spiel.

Hol' dir lieber Heroes of Land, Air & Sea.
Die Karten in dem Spiel hier sind definitiv nicht gut gebalanced, die Grafik ist teilweise murks, das Take That kann sehr hart sein und sich unfair anfühlen, usw. Ist sicherlich kein schlechtes Spiel, das nicht, aber man muss es nicht unbedingt besitzen finde ich. Mir persönlich hat es Spaß gemacht und das Thema ist wirklich cool und mal was anderes, aber insgesamt würde ich wohl nicht über eine 7/10 gehen. Und selbst das ist schon wohlwollend bewertet.

Kommt auf die Betrachtungsweise an. Ich verkaufe in der Regel alles unter 7.5 sofort, bei 7.75 überlege ich schon.
7/10 heißt für mich "passabel, völlig okay, würde ich mitspielen" - aber was heißt das bei 2k Releases pro Jahr schon? Richtig, nichts. Es ist zu wenig. Mag gut sein für andere, ich behalte sowas nicht.

Danke für diese Einschätzung - ich bin auch nicht so ganz überzeugt, dort mit zu machen...für "hartes Take That" habe ich keine Mitspieler und nach Rücksprache mit diesen, gefällt denen das Thema leider auch nicht so wie mir.
Von daher: Nichts für mich (uns) diesmal.

Das, was Du beschreibst, ist für mich eine 6. Da sehe ich MotA auch. Aber genug davon.

Okay cool. Dann sind das härtere Bandagen als ich sie anlege Finde ich aber gut! Es muss einem ja auch nicht alles gefallen hehe.

OK, ist jetzt ausserhalb des Themas, daher schon mal "sorry" an alle Mitlesenden dafür, aber das interessiert mich jetzt ... du verkaufst alles unter 7.5 egal welchen Titel? Ohne deine Vorlieben bzw. bevorzugte Themen zu berücksichtigen, ausschließlich aufgrund der BGG-Wertung? Hast du garkeine Spiele unter 7.5? Also, kein Arkham Horror, kein Love Letter, kein Smallworld, kein StarCraft, kein TheGrizzled, kein Ghost Stories, kein Aquasphere, kein Mystic Vale, kein Schatten über Camelot, kein Archipelago, kein RoboRalley? Und auch zwischen 7.5 und 7.75 gibt es doch etliche Highlights, wie z.B. Codenames, Battlestar Galactica, Descent 2, Roll for the Galaxy, Bora Bora, Runewars, Keyforge oder auch Viticulture? In jeden Fall eine spannende Herangehensweise, auch wenn ich mich da selbst ehrlich gesagt nicht sehe ...

Richtig, ich bezog mich nur auf meine eigene Bewertung Die BGG-Bewertung ist für mich nicht wirklich wichtig. Klar schaue ich mir ab und an die Top 200 an etc., aber dann eher zur Orientierung und was für "Klassiker" ich mir mal noch anschauen könnte perspektivisch.
Und wie nah ich an BGG bin weiß ich nicht, ist auch schwer zu sagen. Ich würde schon sagen, dass ich etwas besser/milder bewerte als der Durchschnitt. Trotzdem haue ich nicht andauernd eine 10 oder sowas raus, also dafür muss das Spiel schon sehr besonders sein. Von ca. 1800 gespielten Brettspielen bisher habe ich zwölf mal 10.0 vergeben und das waren 8 Grundspiele und 4 Erweiterungen.
March of the Ants sehe ich daher, wie gesagt, als grundsolides Spiel an, dass mir auch gefällt und ich mitspielen würde, ich aber nicht selbst besitzen muss (A) und selbst auch niemandem zu einem dringenden Kauf raten würde (B). So kann ich es jedenfalls für mich selbst begründen. Und solche Tipps hier sind ja eh immer subjektiv

Nachdem ich erst im März 2020 die PDF für die Übersetzung der Karten bekommen habe, bin ich schon mit dem heutigem "User File Submission Approved" (für die 2te Erweiterung) auf BGG mit allem fertig

PS: Übrigens gäbe es durchaus noch Karten zu Übersetzen, mehr liegt mit aber vom Designer Tim Eisner nicht vor. Ich habe aber vor kurzem angefragt (auch wegen der Karten Rückseite). Es geht um diese hier:

Gerade erst gelesen: Nächstes Jahr soll auf Kickstarter eine zweite Edition starten. Unter anderem soll die Grafische Aufmachung überarbeitet werden und die besten Sachen aus dem Grundspiel und Erweiterungen sollen im Vorfeld in einer Box sein.
Die Übersetzungsarbeit war bestimmt nicht umsonst, aber damit hätte ich jetzt nicht wirklich gerechnet Hätte wohl früher fertig werden sollen.

Mir auch nicht, das Upgradeset würde ich aber mitnehmen beim Kickstarter. Die Verämderungen hören sich sinnvoll an

Die neue Kampagne ist gestartet.

Ich mag das Thema.
Grafik ist auf jeden Fall ein Fortschritt zur Ursprungsversion. -
Ist aber nicht alles neu was glänzt. Manche Grafik bleibt unverändert, Beispielsweise das jeweilige Motiv der Predator Cards oder bei den Events. Das hat was von Knödeln (halb & halb). Da hätten die ganzheitlich den neuen Stil nehmen sollen. So ist das wie vorher ein Mischmasch.
Mir gefällt aber Generell mehr der alte Grafikstil - auch wenn es hier schon durch die verschiedenen Künstler verschiedene Malstile gab. Ist vielleicht aber auch dem geschuldet das ich mir die Arbeit mit dem Übersetzen gemacht habe und manchmal Stunden vor einer Karte saß.
Wiederum schön aber auch Überladen wirken die neuen Hexagons bzw. Wiesenfelder.
Aber Mitmachen tue ich die neue Kampagne trotzdem. Vermutlich weil der Hobby Anteil in mir nach den PnP Dateien für Wiederkehrende Unterstützer giert.
