Also wenn sich die Qualität der Übersetzung ins Deutsche konstant auf diesem Niveau bewegen sollte, dann wäre ich wirklich zufrieden. Ich arbeite jetzt nicht im Lektorat, doch für mich ist das Textbeispiel, unter Berücksichtigung der ursprünglichen Textqualität, auf einem angenehm lesbaren Niveau und ohne merkliche Abstriche gelungen.
Allerdings war das gerade mal die Spitze der Pyramide und angesichts der Textmenge, die es zu übersetzen gilt, plädiere ich stark dafür, dass neben dem beauftragten Team, die Texte zu einem passenden Zeitpunkt auch mit der Community geteilt werden und zwar in erster Linie, um Fehler zu finden, nicht unbedingt, um zu lektorieren.
Aber nice, die Leseprobe hat mir gleich wieder Lust aufs Spiel gemacht. 🤠

Ja, schade, dass hier so viel Masse rein muss, damit es auch episch genug anmutet ("...über 1000 Fitzelteile alleine im Core Game... 70+ Szenarien für den All-In, die kaum jemand jemals komplett durchspielen wird..." - Yay).
Ohne pauschalisieren zu wollen: ein Armutszeugnis für das Crowdfunding und die Gesellschaft.^ Immer dieses "The more, the merrier". Haben ist besser als brauchen. Wo soll das noch hinführen?! Mir reicht es jedenfalls mal wieder - ich werde nun meine 12TB RetroRoms-Sammlung rausholen und wie immer eine Runde Space Taxi spielen, um meine Nerven zu beruhigen...
Edit: Was ich eigentlich schreiben wollte - ich gebe Recht, etwas weniger, bei niedrigeren Einstiegspreisen hätte der Kampagne vermutlich gut getan. -

Beckikaze Zumindest habe ich hier im Thread von dir das erste Mal von dem 450 All-in Preis gelesen, während auf BGG in dem entsprechenden Thread immer noch gemutmaßt wurde, ohne dass sich Chris je dazu geäußert hätte.
Und weil das zeitlich gut passte - Leute aus Deutschland schrieben kurz darauf auf BGG, sie hätten von dem All-in-Preis gehört (oder war es einer🤔?) - habe ich daraus (wohl fälschlicherweise) geschlussfolgert, du hättest hier unbewusst für die Initialzündung gesorgt.

Das kommunizierte Pricing für den All-in muss wohl höhere Wellen geschlagen haben. Angeblich wurde die Kampagne deswegen nochmal kurz vor knapp um eine Woche verschoben.
Dazu von Chris auf BGG:
"We pushed back 1 week so we can perfect the campaign and see about pricing. It's looking really really Epic."
Also wenn sich daraufhin tatsächlich etwas am Preis drehen sollte (hoffentlich nicht merklich auf Kosten der Qualität), wäre das wohl unserem informativen Beckikaze zu verdanken. 🙂

Mit oder ohne VAT, hat er das inzwischen bei Gamefound nachgefragt?
Das wird mit an Sicherheit grenzender Wahrscheinlichkeit der Preis ohne VAT sein, sofern der All-Preis nicht exklusiv für DE kommuniziert wurde.
Viele Länder haben gar kein VAT (dafür Sales Tax) und bei denen die es haben, ist häufig der Prozentsatz unterschiedlich.
450 für den All-In, plus ~50 fürs Shipping, ergiebt 95 für VAT (19%), macht unterm Strich um die 600.
Ne, das sind dann 50
hätte beinahe das Stretch Pay vergessen...

Der Preis ist wirklich nicht ohne, ich hatte ehrlich gesagt mit weniger gerechnet. Bestimmt hat die Qualität auch ihren Preis, nur da kommt so ein Spiel mal ohne Minis aus (womit es ordentlich an Produktionskosten einspart) und dann kostet schlussendlich trotzdem 600 Schleifen... eindeutig Too Many Tombs.

Aber... und was ist mit all den unterstützten Sprachen, dank der coolen Partnerschaft zu einem wirklich großartigen Publisher, der aktuell noch nicht genannt werden darf? Und was ist mit den Voice Overs von Chris? Und überhaupt, das ganze digitale After Sales Marketing? Der zusätzliche DLC-Content (sagen wir mal ~5$ pro Szenario) ganz im Sinne von Villen des Wahnsinns 2nd? Was FFG kann, ist für EEG nur recht und billig...
Okay, vielleicht wird es keine App geben, aber sie wird bestimmt in der Kampagne angekündigt. -
Weiß denn auch jemand, ob die Übersetzungen wirklich nur in der App erscheinen werden? Ich würde mich schon über zusätzliche PDFs freuen, die ich bei Bedarf einer Druckerei schicken kann. Nun ja, jetzt dauert es (hoffentlich) ja nicht mehr lange, bis wir alle hoffentlich etwas schlauer sind.

MKo777 Ich mag die alten D12 ja auch von der Optik her, doch waren das nicht im Grunde D6? Vermutlich sind sie so besser zu lesen. Gut, deswegen müssen sie dir trotzdem nicht auf einmal gefallen.

Bin unsicher.
Eine Deepl-Übersetzung benötige ich nicht (und Hand auf's Herz: wenn das Spiel nicht heftig durch die Decke geht, ist die Gefahr einer richtig räudigen Übersetzung extrem hoch) und den alten Kram besitze ich komplett.
Ob es Mehrwert bringt?
So häufig kommt LT tatsächlich gar nicht auf den Tisch. Nicht, weil es mies wäre, es gefällt gut. Aber es gibt halt auch anderen heißen Scheiß, der gespielt werden will
Ja, das mit der Übersetzungsqualität ist ein mögliches Risiko, gleichzeitig ist es ein Spiel, welches Leuten, die sich vorab ein wenig damit beschäftigt haben, was das Spiel leistet, ein tolles Spielerlerlebnis bescheren kann.
Ich liebe das Explorative, wie sich die Geschichte entfaltet und natürlich das Würfeln.
Weiterhin gefällt mir das überarbeitete Artwork wesentlich(!) besser als zuvor.
Man spielt es als One Shot an einem Abend und nicht als Kampagne über Jahre.
Es ist ob seiner Verfügbarkeit für sich genommen schon ein seltenes Juwel, welches man nur einmal pro Dekade erhaschen kann - und das auch nur während der großen Konjunktion, bei der der Blutmond in seinem Zenit steht. 🌠👽

Ich vermute, zu all den Erweiterungen wird es wohl die schicke BigBox geben, welche es bereits auf der Vorschauseite zu bestaunen gibt, in der dann alle Erweiterungen ihren Platz finden werden...
Dann ist die Sache wohl leider alternativlos: All-in!

Das ist halt Prototyp Material und ich hoffe dass es noch kleiner wird. Fand die alten Boards von der Größe her nicht schlecht.

Sorry, das war nur Spaß, weil die Dashboards für den Prototypen so groß sind → kaum Platz für Erkundung bzw. Map Tiles = schnelles Ende.
Tatsächlich weiß ich nicht, wie lange das Spiel dauern soll, aber ~30min pro Spieler fände ich eigentlich ganz gut bei solch einem Spiel. -
Die Anpassung der Neuauflage sieht also vor, dass eine Partie im Schnitt 30min dauert, alles klar.
Zumindest lassen die riesigen Spielertafeln darauf schließen. Bei der Größe bleibt auf dem Tisch ja nicht mehr viel Platz für die Erkundung. 😉Tatsächlich scheint es aktuell bei den Player Dashboards hin zu einem Cube-System zu gehen, das finde ich recht interessant. Ist ja noch alles WIP (sie scheinen im US Letter-Format gedruckt worden zu sein), doch die Größe sollte auf jeden Fall nochmal auf den Prüfstand gestellt werden. Aktuell sind das eine Menge Slots für Würfel...
Ich denke es ist ein gutes Zeichen, dass sie damit tatsächlich bei der GenCon am Start sind. -
Es wäre ja auch nichts Ungewöhnliches, sollte ein (deutsches) Sprachpaket von der Anzahl der Backer abhängig sein.
...oder von einer Community, welche die Übersetzung übernimmt, weil es bei der Menge an Text ansonsten viel zu kostenintensiv wäre.

Das dürfte wohl das erste Bild mit überarbeitetem Artwork sein. Darauf basierend lässt sich schlecht extrapolieren, wie der Rest ausschauen wird, aber persönlich sagt mir der Schriftzug schon mal etwas mehr zu, als der Alte:
Etwas konsistenter und dennoch mit genug Pulp-Character.
Vermutlich werden uns jetzt die nächsten Wochen immer wieder mal weitere Häppchen serviert.

Danke Henry McMiller ich bin froh wenn spielmechanisch nichts angefasst wird um nichts zu verschlimmbessern.
Allerdings wäre es schön wenn sie sich mal einen neuen designer und layouter leisten könnten und es das spiel auch in schön geben würde. Besteht da eine chance?
Ja, dein Wunsch soll Coopers Aussage erfüllt werden und das Spiel ein komplett überarbeitetes Artwork erhalten. Sozusagen Secrets bald auch in hübsch.

Update von der Spiel: Ich habe eben noch mit Cooper von EE gesprochen und ein paar klare Aussagen bzgl SotLT 3rd erhalten.
- Zwei Projekte sollen vorher noch an den Start gehen, daher vermutet er einen Launch um Februar 2023 herum ("Best case December but...").
- Es wird zusätzliche, neue Expansions geben.
- Das Core Game und die Expansions wurden besser aufeinander abgestimmt, damit die Komplexität nicht unnötig in die Höhe geht (er nannte eine Expansion, an deren Name ich mich nicht mehr erinnere), ansonsten wollten sie das Gameplay möglichst unangetastet lassen.
- Es wird - jetzt müssen einige hier ganz stark bleiben - doch keine Lokalisierung, heißt deutsche Version aufgrund der Fülle an Texten geben, was andere wiederum nicht groß überraschen wird.
Es war ein angenehmes Gespräch und zumindest Cooper scheint mir doch sehr geerdet und schätzt meiner Meinung nach die Sache recht realistisch ein.

Ja, er ist schon auf dem ersten Blick ein sympathisches Kerlchen, aber wenn man sich mehr mit ihm beschäftigt wird er zunehmend zum Dummschwätzer und viel mehr als heiße Luft kommt da nicht bei rum.
Es ist natürlich schade, wenn dadurch auf Ankündigungen gleich ein Stück weit weniger Verlass zu sein scheint. Bleibt einfach zu hoffen, dass sie sich dem Richtigen (muss gerade selbst schmunzeln bei dem Wort) von all dem Feedback aus der Community annehmen und ein tolles, nicht verschlimmbessertes Secrets 3rd liefern, unabhängig von den beteiligten Personen, die dahinter stehen.
