Hier mal ein paar Bewertungsquotes von BGG mit der Bitte um eine kurze Einordnung von Leuten, die das Spiel kennen:
ZitatThe map is briliant, as well as the neutral tokens and the SC private. However, the train roster (with a 3 and a 4 and a 5 train less than 1889) makes it too prone to bankruptcy. If it had an extra 3 and a 4, it would've been a 9/10, or maybe 10/10
ZitatOn the whole, I didn't particularly enjoy this re-imagining of 1830. The very restrictive tile set and the double-dit and double-o hexes made for some creatively screwy track-laying. But for a game based on an area that's flat (the Prairies), it's a thematic disconnect for me.
ZitatVery interesting set of privates. The map is pretty unforgiving with lots of extra expenses in river crossings, as well as the one time rebellion event that will wipe out all of the yellow tiles in the northwest section. The small tile set, especially the limit number of yellow cities, meant that sometimes companies cannot start operating. Neutral stations further add a different dimension into the regular 18xx rule set. Last but not least is an odd market chart where there is an awful section that increases at $1 per step if any company finds itself sold down to the unfortunate position .
Our game ended in bankruptcy which was the first time I ever seen it happen, as a result the map still felt fairly underdeveloped, we didn’t even connect up to Hudson Bay yet and our total value was very unimpressive. It was an intriguing experience for sure and I’m looking to trying it again.
Update #1: Downgraded from the original 7 rating. The reason for it is I’m currently in a 6 player game. The money is so tight it’s ridiculous, and the two privates I purchased never even had a chance to be bought over by a public because I couldn’t start one even after 5 SR. I felt I have very little decision to make so far because I don’t have the cash, and I’m really not playing very much of it. Would definitely not recommend at this player count.

ZitatAlles anzeigenAn 1830 variant set in Saskatchewan Canada that features a very limited tile set, a smaller train roster, and a reduced certificate limit. The game includes a few new ideas like neutral stations (open to all) and mechanics surrounding a historical revolution.
If you really enjoy using strategic tile lays to thwart your opponents, this may be a game for you.
+ A private with income based on player agency
+ Variable setup to keep the game fresh
+ Reduced certificate limit keeps all companies from being sold out late game. Makes for more interesting stock rounds.
+ Ability to lay 2 yellow tiles allows for a larger map.
- Extremely small tile roster. Not an aspect of 18xx that interests me.
- Less trains of each type enable a single company to be the entire train rush, reducing group agency.
- My plays tended to stall out while players earned enough money to start the next round of companies, even when the active companies aggressively bought trains.
Danke schon mal!
