Hidden Village and scoring | Uprising: Curse of the Last Emperor
ZitatAlles anzeigenIt really depends on what you want from the game. I personally don't mind the chaos that can come from dice rolls and there are ways to mitigate them to some degree. Here is a comparison for you:
Arch Nemesis Expansion:
> 4 New factions with 8 total heroes
> 4 New Hordes/Legions
> 4 Nemesis Enemies - These change the last chapter to more of a Boss fight and this does not exist in the base game
Titans of the First Age:
> 2 New factions with 4 total heroes
> 2 New Hordes/Legions
> 13 Mercenaries - Unique units that can be used by any faction (except the Titans) but are especially important to the Nethersea Pirate faction.
> Updated Druids - These may provide some limited Aether which can be used for rerolls (new dice roll mitigation)
> 3 New types of dice - used primarily for the Titans, but also used by some mercenaries, items, etc...
> Imperial/Chaos Banes - used to grant Legions/Hordes additional abilities/traits (adds difficulty)
In Summary, Arch Nemesis gives you more of the same type of content as the core game with 4 factions that are a little more assymmetrical than the originals. It also adds the Boss fights which are really interesting and difficult. Titans of the First Age adds some new type of content (Mercenaries, Aether, and Banes) with 2 more factions that are VERY different as compared to the original factions.
As far as other content:
Blessings Card Pack:
> Provides significant temporary boons to players which can turn the tide (makes game a little easier)
> Some consider this to be on the pricier side, but that has to do with the quality of the cards and the fact that previous KS backers paid that price to help offset some exorbitant unforeseen shipping costs. Many backers were willing to chip in dollars with no reward, but Nemesis Games provided these cards for backers that wanted to contribute.
Armory Card Pack:
> Gives you additional cards for your items deck
> There are 22 cards and they add quite a bit more variety
> Items are a very important part of the game
Dice Pack:
> Gives you another set of dice
> There are plenty of dice to play the game, but I would recommend this if you are playing with 3 or 4 players.
I believe the remaining add ons are more aesthetical in nature and are dependent solely on your preference for bling 🙂
