Journey: Wrath of Demons meinst du. Ich könnte dir noch viel mehr Spiele mit guten Minis aufzählen, aber das würde zu weit gehen.
Klaus_Knechtskern: Das erhöht in meinen Augen nur die Anzahl der Reklamationen. Persönlich reklamiere ich bei Spielen fast niemals Miniaturen. Azul hat es ja auch hinbekommen keine dünnen Boards zu verwenden und benutzt auch Steine.

Vielleicht auch, aber sicher nicht nur, und vor allem dürfte das nur selten der Primärgrund sein.

Dicker Karton hält bei mir aber irgendwie mehr aus und das dickerer Karton zu mehr Katastrophen beim Terraformen führt, verstehe ich auch nicht so ganz
ein dickeres Tableau nimmt den Impuls besser auf; ohne Overlays würden da die Klötze nur so durch die Gegend schießßen

Die sind leider schweineteuer, also nicht in "normalen" Produktionen zu realisieren. Wer würde wohl 60 € Listenpreis für ein BuBu akzeptieren...
Zur potentieller Auslagerungsdiskussion Boarddicke:
Inzwischen gefallen mir dünnere Spielerablagen besser als solche aus dicker Pappe. Klar ist der Ersteindruck ein leicht negativer, weil dünne Boards nach weniger aussehen. In der Spielpraxis liegen die aber meist immer plan auf dem Tisch und verbiegen sich auch nicht bei Wärmeentwicklung (Sonne / Beleuchtung). Bei dickeren Boards ist es da schon fast ein Glücksspiel, ob der Hersteller die so produziert und getrocknet hat, dass die nicht verbiegen - schon in der Schachtel beim ersten Auspacken oder während der Partie. Azul mit dickeren Boards ist da leider keine positive Ausnahme. Im Direktvergleich Race to the New Found Land mit dünneren Boards schon, weil die liegen plan.
Somit "ja" zu dünneren Boards oder direkt doppelte Boards mit Vertiefungen, die ausreichend getrocknet sind und sich nicht mehr verziehen. Dazwischen gibt es viel Murks, weil "mal eben Pappe bedrucken" kann eben anscheinend nicht jeder wirklich gut.
Also ich persönlich käme gut mit Standees klar. Der Miniaturenmarkt ist so voll, dass jeder Interessierte sich da reichlich bedienen kann. Und der Rest freut sich, dass er nicht zu pinseln braucht und das Teil günstiger ist

Deswegen magst Du Terraforming Mars nicht. Du bist entlarvt
Deshalb verwenden die Hersteller eben häufig sehr weichen Kunststoff, wie auch bei Maus & Mystik - da bricht so schnell Nichts.
Ok, abbrechen im eigentlich Sinne wird es so schnell nicht. Nennen wir es einfach beschädigen.
Ich bilde mir ein, dass sich im Video an der dünnsten Stelle der Waffe die Plastik bereits verfärbt, weil sie offensichtlich überansprucht wird. Minis ohne Wärme wieder richten, halte ich einfach nicht für die optimale Methode, deswegen verursachte das Video bei mir an der Stelle ganz kurz Entsetzen.

Nachdem ich mittlerweile so viele "dicke" Tableaus kennengelernt habe, die sich verzogen haben und damit auch etwas unpraktikabel sind, bevorzuge ich tatsächlich eher dünne Tableaus wie bei BuBu. Die Pläne liegen wenigstens alle immer schön plan auf dem Tisch, bei Heaven & Ale z.B. auch. Erst wenn es dann um Vertiefungen geht, werden die dicken Tableaus wieder interessant. Insofern schließe ich mich mal vollumfänglich ravn an.

japp, das kaschieren ist nicht ganz ohne. Es wird ja nicht direkt auf die Pappe gedruckt, sondern die Pappe wird mit bedrucktem Papier kaschiert

ich sprach weiter oben nicht von 1,25 mm, wie das zu sein scheint.
Egal wie dick, Pappe die nicht ordnungsgemäß behandelt wird kann sich wölben

Es kommt sicher auf die Verarbeitung drauf an. Bei Great Western Trail oder Terraforming Mars wellt sich auch nix. Bei Dragon Castle wird die Wellung unterstützt durch die schweren Steine.

naja was sollte sich da wellen? Die Spielerboards sind wohl so 180g Papier oder so. Da wellt sich nichts, weil das wird nicht kaschiert.
Die kaschierten Komponenten sind zu klein und die Spielpläne durch die Faltung wesentlich weniger anfällig.
Warum wellt sich dann Dragon Castle so? Die Plyaerboards sind nicht viel größer
