Ist aktuell ausverkauft und der Reprint wird ziemlich sicher bis Essen nicht da sein. Wenn du Glück hast, hat es irgend ein Händler zufällig im Regal.

Hmm, dem kann ich nicht ganz zustimmen. Denn der Gameplay-Loop, die Überlegungen hinsichtlich der Aktionen, die Art und Weise wie auf der Map agiert wird - das ist COIN und das bereitet durchaus darauf vor, wie man an ein COIN herangeht. Auf was es nicht vorbereitet ist die Dynamik von 4 abhängigen Fraktionen. Das ist eben nur mit 4 abhängigen Fraktionen möglich.

Könnte man so schreiben:
- Place 1 Merry Man
OR
- Replace 1 Merry Man with a camp
OR- (if camp present) Place 2 Merry Man
OR
- (if camp present) Flip all Merry Men Hidden
Und dazu noch die Grafiken anstatt Text für merry man, camp etc und schon ist es mega kurz und übersichtlich.

Das die Events stark sind ist dem Spieldesign doch immanent.
Denn: Wähle ich das Event, geb ich meinem Gegner die Chance starke Aktionen auszuführen. Und dann kommt genau die Zwickmühle: Ich habe eventuell etwas vorbereitet, was der Gegner verhindern will. Natürlich muss ich bewerten, was mir mehr bringt - event oder plan durchziehen. Das perfide beim Coin ist: Das ich(!) oft gar nicht Überblicke, was der Gegner plötzlich für Möglichkeiten aus dem Ärmel zieht, wenn ich ihm die starke Aktion lasse. Es ist ein hauen und Stechen - simpler als bei den großen COINS, allein wegen den 2 Spielern, aber ähnlich intensiv in den Gefühlen.
Sherrif und Robin Hood leben doch davon, sich langfristig eine gute Boardposition aufzubauen um eben nicht immer der einen Aktion oder Reaktion hinterherzuhecheln, sondern auch aktiv Fallen zu stellen und zu agieren. Um das zu erreichen, kann es auch durchaus sinnvoll sein, ein starkes Event sausen zu lassen - Investment für die Zukunft quasi.
Die Events stellen einen nämlich oft vor die Frage: Kurzfristiger Benefit oder langfristigen Plan verfolgen?
So empfinde ich das zumindest. -
Hah, das zeigt doch wie vortrefflich man sich über solche Übersetzungen streiten kann. Ich finde "Abenteuer" passender, weil es mehr das wiederspiegelt, was im Spiel passiert. Robin Hood erlebt konkrete Abenteuer in einer Partie. Es ist "aktiver" als das passive "Erzählung", das ich mehr mit einem Buch verbinde.

Jop. A Gest of Robin Hood wäre am ehesten "Die Abenteuer des Robin Hood".
Aber so ist das bei UGG. Ich fass deutsche Versionen nicht mehr. -
Einer meiner merry man ist auch klar erkennbar weil die Form etwas abweicht. Zum Glück war einer mehr dabei.

Und das GMT endlich Icons in ihre verdammten Texte einbaut. Anstatt „Merry Man“ gib mir im Fließtext doch einfach die Abbildung der komponente. Da ist noch sooooo viel Luft nach oben.

Speziell bei Rollenspielbüchern mit >400 Seiten kann sich das ja sonst keiner mehr leisten. Wie viele Tage würde denn ein Amateurübersetzer bei den drei Regelbüchern von AGoRH sitzen? Und was würde ein Profi-Übersetzer kosten?
Ich muss da kurz drauf eingehen, weil das eventuell Leute glauben könnten. Nein, so läuft das auch bei Rollenspielbüchern nicht. Aber da läuft viel, mithilfe von Fans und teilweise der Community. Die machen das dann entweder für ne "Entschädigung" oder für 2-3 Exemplare eines Buchs und gut ist. Gespart wird dann an ordentlichen Lektoraten.

Root basiert ja auch in seiner Designphilosophie zu einem großen Teil auf den COIN Spielen. Da hat Cole ja nie nen Hehl draus gemacht

Das ist die wirkliche Hürde bei jedem COIN. Zu verstehen, wie man Aktionen vorbereitet und wofür die dann auch wirklich im Sinne des Spielziels gut sind.

"Sämtlicher" war als Wort hier nicht genau genug gewählt. Aber allein die p500 und den generellen Import für den freien Verkauf durch UGG als festen langjährigen Partner - das wirft man nicht einfach weg.

GMT wird sicher keinen anderen Partner als UGG nehmen, denn schließlich übernimmt UGG seit vielen vielen Jahren den Import sämtlicher GMT Spiele. Das ist also eine lang gewachsene Partnerschaft, die man nicht einfach mit Füßen tritt. Ich weiss auch von Verlagen die es versucht haben - keine Chance - Ausnahmen sind die paar Spiele die bei spielworxx erschienen (Elisabeth, Washingtons war, noch was?) sind.
