Why No Bases for Nemesis Retaliation?
We also want to be transparent with you, Crew, and clarify why Nemesis Retaliation bases are not part of this pack or any other terrain add-on.
We tried to create bases for this Nemesis installment as well, but we quickly realized that it didn't make sense for 3 reasons:
1. No movement of Wound Markers: In Retaliation, wound markers are not moved. When an Intruder joins a horde, their wounds are discarded, making the bases functionally redundant.
2. Size and practicality issues: The required size for wound marker slots would make the bases disproportionately large and awkward, detracting from the game's aesthetic and practicality.
3. Focus on smooth gameplay: Our tests showed that adding bases in Retaliation would complicate the gameplay unnecessarily. Our priority is to ensure a seamless and immersive experience, not to introduce elements that might disrupt the flow of the game.
We hope this gives you a clear understanding of our approach behind the Nemesis Constructs Pack.
