I actually see it the same way. Immersively, it has to make sense to me what is happening on the field and how events, opponents, items, etc. fit in or interact with each other. In the games I played SoB with the Conquistadors and the Otherworld Jargano, I found everything thematically coherent and the rules, game mechanics and storage functions brilliantly support both the atmosphere and the thematic integration. It may be, or I assume, that it will be complete B-movie trash with other Otherworlds, but: I can still freely decide which Otherworldd I want to add so that everything stays nicely immersive in one theme. Or I live with the very good explanation of the Otherworld gates and make friends with the chaos. Despite everything, this makes sense to me.
The point is of course absolutely correct.
With Brimstone it is of course very easy (but time-consuming) to control and determine what should come into play.
I myself keep it very thematic and even keep a “book” of loot and encounters to determine what is allowed to spawn and what is not.
Basically, I keep the card stuff together.
I can understand what Becki means with the superstructure of the missions, but I didn't experience with Lost Tomb that the mission gives the tomb (space-specific) such a great basic structure. Maybe from the layout and the general conditions. But:
Which rooms are determined (with a few scenario-specific exceptions) by my stack of existing rooms and the encounter stack.
I can still encounter mummies standing next to pirate zombies🤓
That all works for me too.
What has “bothered” ME personally so far are the tiles and their layout. The new version is actually much more attractive. Absolutely.
But I always had the strange feeling that I was crawling through telephone booths with themed decorations😆😆
All rooms have the same size and shape. There are no “real” aisles in between. I stumble from topic to topic with every change of room.

At one point he briefly says that he was able to read the draft translation of the rules. But as far as I remember, there really wasn't anything else.
Chris has now written that they don't want to show it publicly until it's finished in a few weeks. Really weak.
Before the campaign the promise and now this. I'm wondering how the 70+ scenarios, 100th cards, rule book, etc. are going to be translated if you can't manage to translate the first scenario that has existed for ages.
My all-in will therefore be changed to €1 for the time being.
