Chronicles of Crime: The Teotihuacan Mystery

  • Lucky Duck und Board & Dice haben sich zu einer kooperation zusammengeschlossen. Heraus kam Chronicles of Crime: The Teotihuacan Mystery. Erscheinen soll das Spiel im Sommer.

Chronicles of Crime: The Mystery of Teotihuacan will take players on an investigation through the powerful pre-Columbian civilization and will introduce stories and challenges worthy of gods!

“Traveling back in time to the greatest city in Mesoamerica has been an aspiration for our writers for quite some time,” says Az, Director of Marketing at Lucky Duck Games. “Chasing perpetrators down the steps of breath-taking pyramids and searching for clues in magnificent temples are things we believe players will really enjoy”.

The game comes with a new “dice solving” mechanism where dice are rolled, placed onto characters side-by-side to form a square. You will use your phone to scan the “pattern” created by the pips on the dice, just as you would scan a QR code. Doing so will provide you with clues or vital narratives that will progress the case.

The most unique part of the new mechanism is that you can influence those dice, by changing the values, discarding a die from a character, adding a die, and more. Each manipulation of the dice will change the pattern and impact the entire investigation.

This will build a great immersive experience as this mechanism allows you to physically influence the characters and locations. Every decision matters and will leave a real impact on the board for the entire game.

“We always want to push dice mechanisms to the limit, each time surprising gamers with what new things we can do with dice”, says Board&Dice Head of Marketing Filip Głowacz. “With the technological knowledge of the Lucky Duck team and their fantastic Chronicles of Crime game system, we are able to introduce a very fresh and innovative take on dice. This was an exciting challenge and we can’t wait to see people interacting with the game story in a new way.”

Players can expect to see Chronicles of Crime: The Teotihuacan Mystery release this summer.
