Interessant wäre es, welche Möglichkeiten es gibt, wenn man in der Brig ist und wie einfach/schwer ist es wieder aus der Brig rauszukommen.

-Working at FFG during the pandemic. Company wide rules require masking. (Masks were on during livestream).
-Why Arkham Horror Files for theme? Why not Runebound/Twilight Imperium? Settled for Arkham due to atmosphere that is ever present in Arkham games; feeling of uncertainty/terror and not knowing who can trust/what is hiding in shadows. Most closely captures feeling of Unfathomable. Also believes Arkham IP is easily grasped by newcomers.
-How is the replayability? And is it only one scenario? Not a scenario based game. This is an emergent narrative game. The structure will always be same; always traveling to boston and trying to get there in one piece. Story will be completely different based on characters/traitors present in game. One scenario; multiple possibilities.
-Will we ever see the Unfathomable characters in other games? Game is set more than a decade before any other games in Arkham series. Don't know if those characters will surface elsewhere at this point in time. Don't know yet what the canonical outcome is.
-How does Unfathomable differentiate itself from similar games in genre? BSG? Monsters behave differently. Character abilities different. Many similarities as well, will share more in future/including gameplay. With respect to games in hidden genre, Unfathomable is not a compact experience. This is a longer traitor game - - there is time to build trust, time to convince others... only to turn the knife at the key moment. This creates experiences that are not possible in shorter games within the genre.
-Why is it a minimum of three players? This is a hidden traitor game. It is all about not knowing who is on your side. Doesn't exactly work with only two people since the mystery is lost. Therefore, went forward with three players a minimum to focus on the hidden traitor aspect.
-Is there A hybrid? Can there be multiple? Amount of traitors depends on players. 3; 1 hybrid. 4-6; more than one hybrid. Balance at different player counts is managed by "Cultists" -used in 4 and 6 player games. Cultist works same as hybrid, but is thematically a human. Win condition is that Cultist must "see land" before ship goes down. (Cultist is ultimately human, and understandably doesn't want to ensure his own demise.). Recommend not playing first few games with Cultist.-Is there only one hybrid in each game or more? In a 5 player game, 2 hybrids. 6 player game, 2 hybrids+cultist. The Hybrids do not know who their allies are. Loyalty distribution works similar to BSG; Loyalty card distributed at start/midpoint of game. Once you are a hybrid you remain a hybrid.
-How long is play time? 2-4 hours. Experience is most games end up in this timeframe. Might be longer for new groups. And adding more players does not add more game time in terms of rounds, but might add time based on more people involved.
-Boom noise? Yea. (Some questions in a Q&A are dumb questions, lol).
-Balanced for both sides? Balancing a game like this is tricky. Because if you make it too easy for humans, you're going to almost always have the humans winning. Design was to push slightly towards hybrids winning. Harder to play as traitor; requires more experience/nuance to play without getting caught. Rules for balancing game included in ruleset (change starting resource values at start).
-When does game come out? As posted in recent article, Unfathomable is coming out in September.
...missed some questions, but caught answers
-Effort on part of FFG to promote diversity/inclusion.
-Designer intentionally incentivizes traitors to remain undetected. Prefers that players aren't going head to head, and are rather engaging in subterfuge. Drawbacks to being traitors is limited to 1 card in skill checks (like BSG). Easier to capture once you are revealed. Also do not draw a mythos card during your turn. Much greater incentive to remain hidden in this game compared to BSG.

-Minis will be featured in future "mini mondays" articles.
-Will release new video at beginning of next month.

Entspricht den bisherigen Aussagen, die man so gelesen hat.

Im BGG Forum wird öfters auf Reddit verwiesen. Die Aussagen sind, dass es ein Retheme mit Verbesserungen ist. Auch die Spieldauer ist kürzer als bei BSG.
Wenn man schon BSG hat, dann weiß ich nicht, ob sich dieses Spiel lohnt. Allerdings ist BSG ja schon länger OoP und die Gebrauchtpreise dreistellig.

Judge Penguin grundsätzlich stimme ich dir zu, aber die Mythoskarten finde ich mit dem reinen Text nicht athmosphärend förderlich.

Aktuell sieht das Spiel für mich teilweise noch nach Prototyp aus, vor allem die Mythoskarten mit dem reinen Text.

An alle FFG-Experten hiet... wann kann man mit einer dt. Version rechnen und quanto costa?
Ich denke man kann schon bei der ersten Auflage auf eine deutschen Version hoffen. Ansonsten sicherlich dann bei der zweiten Auflage.

Vom Artstyle bin ich jetzt noch nicht überzeugt, kann sich aber ja noch ändern.
Den Preis mit 80$ finde ich dagegen schon sehr happig.
