Auch wenn ich jetzt meinen eigenen Verkauf vielleicht schmälere, ein richtig guter fixer Skirmisher ist Super Fantasy Brawl. Auch wenn das eher in Richtung Arena Kampf geht. Das hat aber kein Deckbuilding, trotzdem Tiefgang und durch das Draften der Helden auch viel Abwechslung.

NuckChorris Ich würde es dir auch verkaufen, sogar mit den Verbesserungen aus der zweiten Kampagne (deutsche Version).
Der Einstieg ist schon einfacher als in herkömmlichen Tabletops und auch als Brettspiel will es kein Experte sein. Das richtige Hantieren mit den Einheiten, Karten und Missionezielen hat aber durchaus viel Tiefgang. Von daher ist es sicher kein No-Brainer. Und auch wenn man es sicher so spielen kann, wie du es möchtest, ohne Deckbuildung out of the Box, ist das ehrlicherweise das Problem, warum wir es nicht spielen. Es macht nämlich Spaß und bietet durchaus einen Vorteil an, wenn du alle Karten kennst und dir etwas eigenes bastelst. Das Deck gibt es eben nicht umsonst im Spiel. Das Spiel bockt nur, wenn du Leute in deinem Umkreis hast, die sich alle mit dem Spiel beschäftigen wollen. Ich selber finde das Spiel wirklich richtig gut, ich habe nur keine Mitspieler.

Es ist für das was es ist, einfach sehr sehr gut. Aber es bedient halt eine Nische, die aus meiner Sicht klein ist und erschlägt einen mit Material. Da ist der Verkaufspreis sicher schwierig.

Ich spiele es noch Bei nächsten großen Brettspiel-WE spielen wir dann auch mal zu viert. Die Kampagne will ich demnächst auch angehen. Ist schon etwas aufwendiger als ein GW Underworlds, aber immer noch unkomplizierter als ein Tabletop. Ich finde nach wie vor hat The Edge ein paar sehr frische Ideen. Es braucht aber ein paar Partien um sich in eine Fraktion einzuspielen um dann das Deckbuildung anzugehen. Hier mein Rückblick auf die letzte Partie.

Das wird noch dauern bis ich den ausprobiere. Erstmal so in die Fraktionen reinkommen, sich mit dem Deckbuilding beschäftigen. Danach im Team gegeneinander. Dann vielleicht Koop oder die Szenariobücher mit den Fraktionskämpfen. Vielleicht probiere ich dann 2020 auch mal den Solomodus aus...

Gestern erstes Spiel hinter mich gebracht. Fazit: Mega! Als alter Tabletopper hat man hier Pippi in den Augen. Kompakt auf ein Brettspiel skaliert, einfache Grundregeln, aber viele taktische Entscheidungen. Kein wildes Gekloppe! Sehr unterschiedlich zu spielende Fraktionen. Die Faceless haben mich ganz schön ins Schwitzen gebracht - dabei sei angemerkt, das ich die gespielt habe. Ich mag die ständigen Entscheidungen im Spiel! Passiver Zug für Ressourcen? Aktiver Zug, aber welche Einheit? Was will ich damit überhaupt erreichen und welche Karten kann ich ausspielen? Dann muss man noch überdenken ob man bessere Würfel kauft... Die Ressourcenmechanik ist der taktische Kniff, der das Spiel so interessant macht. Da steckt so viel drin. Dazu 2vs2, Koop und Szenarien, bei dem Preis... WOW!

Bei mir ist es auch unterwegs und als alter Tabletopper bin ich gespannt ob es bei mir einschlägt. Ich erwarte einen Tabletop-Brettspiel-Hybriden. Allerdings nervt es mich gewaltig das ich innerhalb der letzten 10 Tage 8 Brettspiele erhalten habe. Direkt vor Essen. Das passt null ins Timing, vor allem weil fast keines der Spiele für diesen Zeitraum geplant war.

Der aktuelle Stand ist das das Verschiffen der Spiele wohl irgendwann im Februar losgeht. Ist zumindest mein letzter Stand. Ansonsten empfehle ich die Updates der Kampagne, da hat man einen Einblick in die Fraktionen und die Überarbeitung des Spiels. Wann der Pladge Manager geschlossen wird, kann ich Dir leider nicht sagen.

Das bleibt dir ja auch unbenommen, aber wer jetzt Interesse für das Projekt bekundet, für ein Late Pledge(!), der sollte sich dann bei dem Geld was er investiert, schon mit dem Spiel auseinandersetzen. Ich fand es wichtig daruf hinzuweisen das sich viel getan hat bei dem Spiel und die Kampagnenseite eben veraltet ist – das ist übrigens ganz normal, denn die Kampagne ist abgelaufen. Also schnell Kampagnenseite checken und dann eine Meinung haben, kann man machen, ist das aber nicht gerade aktueller Stand wenn ein Projekt schon so lange in der Mache ist.
Und Neuroshima Hex wurde mehrmals überarbeitet. Da hast du absolut recht! Und genau das ist eben auch mit The Edge schon passiert, nur diesmal schon vor der Veröffentlichung Cry Havoc funktionierte auch nach dem Release. Der Autor will hier nicht irgendwas auf dem Markt werfen mit 100 Minis, sondern man merkt im Laufe der Kampagne schon sehr genau das hier richtig gearbeitet wird. Darum finde ich die Verzögerung auch gut. Ob das Spiel sein Geld wert ist, kann keiner Wissen und jeder hat andere Prios, ich z.B. würde niemals Geld bezahlen damit mir Leute meine Minis anmalen.
Ich habe The Edge nicht wegen der Minis unterstützt (wie eigentlich kein einziges Brettspiel) und du hast absolut recht, wer Tabletops spielt, sieht besseres. Ich finde sie aber nicht schlecht für ein Brettspiel und das Artdesign ist gut. Da kann man mit Farbe und Airbrush einiges rausholen. Mir war auch an dieser Stelle nur wichtig zu zeigen, das es eben schon Minis gibt, für Leute denen es wichtig ist.

Kennst du Neuroshima Hex? Mir würde es schon langen wenn The Edge diese Stufe, nur in hübsch erreicht. Ich finde für deinen Einsatzbereich Neuroshima Hex ganz wunderbar, auch als App für unterwegs. Ich habe es halt gebackt, weil ich finde der Autor hat ein gutes Handling für aggressive kurzweilige Kampf/Kontrollspiele. Der Preis ist heftig, aber da ein Spielkollege da genau so heftig eingestiegen ist, decken wir komplett alles ab.

Für mich entscheidend ist ganz einfach der Autor! Alles andere ist egal. Neuroshima Hex und Cry Havoc sind aus meiner Sicht sehr gute Spiele, zumindest weiß da einer was er tut. Daher ist es für mich nicht der typische Kickstarter-Minis-Haben-Will-Kram, weil es in erster Linie bei dem Autor und seinen Ehrgeiz darum geht ein gutes Spiel abzuliefern.
Und der Autor hat mit Lords of Hellas oder This War is mine nichts am Hut, ist nur der gleiche Verlag.
Meinst du das mit Rendering? Es gibt nämlich so gut wie alles in Plastik.
Du musst dann schon in die Kampagne und deren Updates schauen...
