Soloboardsandbooks: InPatience Solo Game Wochenende

    ♟: Syfnx

    🗓: 2024 Inpatience Games

    📝: David Purkiss

    🎨: Olivier Derouetteau

    👥: 1-4

    👪: 8+

    ⏰️: 15-40

    ⚖️: Light-Medium

    🎲: Pattern Building/Grid Manipulation

    🙋‍♀️: Win/Lose

✅ Solo: For fans of shifting puzzles with adjustable difficulty.

📦: In Sfynx, we have tiles on a 5x5 grid, each showing a special hieroglyph. We take turns shifting the tiles around the grid to solve the "riddles" = matching the required sequence horizontally or vertically. After each round, the sands shift and it could be things look very different than before.

🙋‍♀️: No change in solo mode!

🎨: I love the artwork on this one as well! It's obviously very Egyptian, but in a cool and not-dusty kind of way. I do have a small gripe about the box though: the inlay is one of those loose compartment things and the cards and tokens just kind of slide underneath. Also the long skinny format is abit tricky for shelf space.

👍🏻: I love Rove and this has similar vibes. What I like better here though is that there are tiles instead of cards. This makes them easier to move about on most surfaces and better to play outdoors. It's not quite as portable as Rove though, which you can tuck into a pocket. I'm working my way through the difficulties and am looking forward to trying level 3 next!

👎🏻: Not much else to complain about here!

✨: This game was so addicting to me! I could play round after round! The solo play time of about 20-30 Minutes is perfect for me and I can decide if I want more or less of a challenge. Plus, it's possible to play outdoors (although you may need to weigh down the riddle stack on really windy days.
