Ich verwende Mixing Balls/Agitatorkugeln von The Army Painter und habe meist 2 davon in einem Farbfläschchen. Wichtig ist, dass du etwas rostfreies verwendest, sonst läufst du Gefahr deine Farben zu versauen.

Mein Tochter ist ganz angefixt vom minis malen und mag es auch probieren. Da wir gerade Maus und Mystik spielen, würden sich die Figuren perfekt anbieten, sie will die bemalen. Welche Methode würdet ihr empfehlen? Ich muss sie erst noch grundieren. Für mich mache ich schwarz, dann grau und dann entweder weiß von oben oder weiß trockenhebürsten, gefolgt von xpress und eventuell Vallejo model color.
Was denkt ihr was auch für den Anfang einer 8jährigen eignet? Eher einfach weiß grundieren und mit Acrylfarben (also den Vallejo die ich habe) bemalen lassen und einen wash danach? Und wenn sie ganz fancy ist noch Trockenbürsten.
Oder gleich xpress auf mehrfacher Grundierung? Ich habe das Gefühl, dass das eher suboptimal wird als Anfänger und man auch mit den acrL Farben mehr lernen würde.

Vom Gefühl her hätte ich gesagt, eignet sich eine einfache Grundierung (weiß oder grau) und anschließend Speed Paints am ehesten. Ich glaube, da ist der Belohnungseffekt am Größten, ohne dass der Aufwand zu groß wird. Ich würde sie vielleicht auch die Grundierung selbst vornehmen lassen. Meiner Meinung nach kann man auf ein Ergebnis immer noch stolzer sein, wenn man sagen kann: "Das hab ich ganz alleine gemacht!" ohne, dass man noch relativeren muss "außer die Grundierung, das Bürsten etc.". Dann lass die Figuren lieber nicht perfekt aussehen und dafür deine Kleine stolz darauf sein, dass sie das ganz allein geschafft hat. Manchmal ist man überrascht, wie gut das werden kann...
Mir ist fast die Kinnlade runtergeklappt, als mein 8-jähriger Sohnemann quasi im Alleingang KDM-Survivor zusammengebaut hat. Klar...von den Sprues getrennt und sauber gefeilt hab ich dir, aber dann hat er da mit seinen winzigen Fingerchen Teil für Teil zusammengesetzt.

Die Maus und Mystik Miniaturen, zumindest die Charaktere, sind ziemlich klein und die Details sind teilweise schwer zu erkennen. Glaube, da brauchst du dir gar nicht viel Gedanken machen. Wenn ich die nochmal bemalen würde dann einfach mit Contrast Paints. Oder was es mittlerweile alles für Produkte am Markt gibt.

Ein Hinweis bezüglich der Miniaturen von Maus und Mystik: die Figuren sind aus einem etwas „komischen“ Kunststoff gefertigt, viele haben darüber geklagt, dass die Grundierung äußerst schlecht hält. Das führt dann dazu, dass gegebenfalls die Farbe nicht so gut auf den Figuren haftet, und bei einigen auch dazu, dass die Farben recht klebrig bleiben.
Die Idee das zu beheben war, die Figuren vorher ein wenig auszukochen. Das habe ich getan, aber auch bei mir hält die Farbe nicht so gut wie auf herkömmlichen Miniaturen.

Ich selbst habe kürzlich für einen Freund die Miniaturen von Herr der Träume bemalt. Keine Ahnung, ob das Spiel auch etwas für euch wäre, aber die Miniaturen ließen sich echt gut/leicht bemalen und die Farbe hat super gehalten. Nur so als Gedanke...

Zwischen all den Meisterwerken hier, präsentiere ich einfach mal meine bodenständigen Versuche.
Da wir in der Regel nur das bemalen, was wir unmittelbar spielen wollen, sind die ersten beiden Charaktere der Pranken des Löwen schon vor einer halben Ewigkeit unter den Pinsel gekommen.
Inklusive der Unlockables:
Da wir jetzt eine neue Kampagne angefangen haben, sind gestern dann auch endlich die beiden verbleibenden Charaktere dazugekommen. Die Varnish Dose ist mittlerweile von Citadel zu Army Painter gewechselt (viel schöneres matt wie man sieht), meine malerischen Fähigkeiten haben sich aber eher nicht verbessert. Zum Spielen und motivieren stiller Mitleser reicht es aber sicher allemal.
Die beiden Unlocks kommen dann dazu, sobald wir auch die freigeschaltet haben.

Dunkel grundieren? Also eher grau oder?

Vallejo Hobyy Paint Schwarz ist normal besprüht Mattschwarz und wirkt eher
wie ein sehr dunkles Anthrazit, was ich etwas bevorzuge. Dagegen ist Citadel Chaos Black
wirlich extrem schwarz und schluckt schon etwas das Licht beim Erkennen der Details.
Beides ist ok. Bei Layering ist Tiefe natürlich gut, aber damit werdet ihr wohl noch
nicht gleich anfangen

Kann man großteils umgehen wenn man die Reihenfolge in der man die Farben wählt von Dunkel nach Hell wählt. Wenn du mit der dunkleren Farbe einen Fehler machst, musst nur die Grundierung wiederherstellen, wenn du mit der helleren Farbe einen Fehler machst, sieht man es meist so gut wie nicht (gibt natürlich Ausnahmen wenn zwei helle Farben nebeneinanderliegen).

Bei den Vallejo model colors, die ich habe, gehen die Deckel nach und nach kaputt.
Hat jemand eine gute Alternative zum umfüllen?

Was geht denn da kaputt? Das sind doch Schraubdeckel? Ich hab hier Valejo Farben die über 10 Jahre alt sind und noch nie einen kaputten Deckel gehabt.

Bei mir z.B. springen manchnal die Spitzen der Deckel ab ... wodurch die Deckel zu Krausen für die freiliegende Öffnung werden.

Versuche mich momentan schlichtweg aus Lust am Experiment an GOLDEN HEAVY BODY sowie GOLDEN OPEN ACRYLICS….wobei ich mir mittlerweile auch einige Mediums besorgt habe, um manche Attribute der Farben zu beeinflussen.
Hat jemand von euch bereits Erfahrungen mit diesen Farbsortimenten gemacht und mag diese hier teilen?

Deckelbereich, gepaart mit zuviel Druck beim Zudrehen. Daher habe ich mittlerweile
ein paar gut erhaltene Deckel und Tropfer in der Asservatenkammer liegen,
habe diese aber seither nie mehr benötigt.
Leere Fläschchen gibt es z.B. hier: Model Color Fläschchen leer 17ml

Immer stehend in einem Aufbewahrungssystem:
Das druckt man selbst und kann sich so seine Aufbewahrung selbst gestalten.

Ich hab das Problem zwar nicht, fülle aber die meisten Citadel Farben in Tropffläschchen um.

Wurden die Minis mit Fimo hergestellt? Selten so "matschige" Miniaturen gesehen (ich hätte die erst gar nicht bemalt)!
Nichts gegen deine Bemalung, ich meine ausschließlich die Mini (und die absolut fehlenden Details) ansich.

Die Bilder sehen zwar deutlich schlimmer aus als mit bloßem Auge + normaler Entfernung, aber die Minis von PA sind schon echt nicht geil was Guss und Details angeht. Beckikaze hatte da seinerzeit nen super Review zu gemacht und hier auch die Mini-Quali thematisiert und verglichen.
Hab damit angefangen, weil ich noch einen Satz der Minis habe und das mein 1. "Projekt" ist. Sieht bemalt aber tatsächlich immer noch besser aus als ohne
