Das Ergebnis sieht ja prima aus, aber sind da nicht zwei Farbtöne zu ähnlich?
Darf ich nach dem vollständigen Malprozess fragen?
1) Im Spüli reinigen
2) Grundiert
3) Basisfarbe drauf
4) Klarlack
Welche Aritkel von welchen Herstellern hast Du verwendet und wie lange hat es gedauert?

Sehr ähnlich sind schwarz und lila. Auf dem Tisch geht es hoffentlich, ansonsten wird lila nochmal trockengebürstet.

Was für mich auch nicht zielführend ist, ist die Minis mit doppelseitigem Klebeband zu befestigen. Wenn man auf festem Untergrund grundiert, braucht man die Minis gar nicht befestigen.
Mein Vorgehen:
- mit Platemail von Army Painter grundieren
- mit Contrast anpinseln
- mit Matvarnish von Army Painter lackieren
Mit allem drum und dran hat mich das einige Abende gekostet... schätze den Zeitaufwand mal so auf 24-30h. Hängt auch davon ab, ob man alle Fraktionen zeitgleich grundiert und bemalt oder eben nacheinander.

Benutzte die Serie 7 von Winsor Newton. Absolut zu empfehlen, die Spitze hält wirklich lang, so dass Detailarbeiten lange möglich sind.
Army Painter nutze ich zum Trockenbürsten.
Ich habe früher Army Painter für alles genutzt mit dem Gedanken, das ich halt öfters neue hole, wenn die Spitze nicht so gut ist. Aber diese Rechnung geht nicht auf. Die Spitzen von Army Painter Pinsel, fächern, meiner Erfahrung nach, früh auf.
Gefühlt würde ich sagen, dass mein Winsor Newton 8-10 mal so lange hält, wie ein Army Painter Pinsel. Dadurch ist der Mehrpreis absolut gerechtfertigt und auf Dauer günstiger.
Meine Army Painter Pinsel nutze ich auch noch für Grobe Arbeiten, wie z.B. das mischen von Farben, oder schnelle Großflächige Arbeiten.

W&N Serie 7 und da Vinci Maestro Serie 11 sind beide top, mein Arbeitspferd ist der Serie 11 Größe 2, fasst ein großes Wasserreservoir.

Aliens für Nemesis mit Shifting Colors von green stuff

Dafür hatte ich mir die Farben auch mal geholt. Bin mit Pinselapplikation aber nicht so ganz glücklich geworden.

Ich will hier mal auch mal meine ersten Gehversuche vorstelle Auch wenn sie bei weitem nicht perfekt sind, bin ich doch halbwegs zufrieden. Auslöser war Gloomhaven Jaws of the Lion, das ich Anfang September bekommen habe und nach dem ersten Spieleabend direkt das Bedürfnis hatte die Figuren anmalen zu müssen.
#Gloomhaven-JotL machte den Anfang, wobei ich zu diesem Zeitpunkt gerade mal 5 Farben (Citadel Contrast Paint) hatte. Für meine ersten Figuren bin ich ganz zufrieden, wobei der Demolitionist wirklich winzig und ebenso wie die Voidwareden schwer zu bemalen ist, v.a. wenn Farben fehlen Hatchet und Red Guard sind hingegen relativ gut gelungen.

Und überraschenderweise empfand ich das Bemalen sogar als beruhigend und wurde immer wieder zu meiner Abendbeschäftigung Habe noch etwaige Farben nachbestellt und mit Blood Rage ist man da ja auch doch mehr beschäftigt
Wenn man die Figuren näher ansieht, dann sieht man immer einige Fehler.. aber besser als unbemalt sicherlich

Sind super Ergebnisse.
Kleiner Optimierungstip bei den Jaws of the Lion Figuren - versuch am Ende der Bemalung die Basis nochmals zu bemalen. So kann man einfach kleinere Fehler korrigieren und du hast einen besseren Kontrast.

Ich hab letzte Woche die neuen Instant Colors von Scale 75 erhalten und gleich einen Wikinger zum Test bemalt. Hat etwa 30 Minuten gedauert und ich bin sehr zufrieden mit dem Resultat. Die Farben werden bei Brettspielen jetzt häufiger zum Einsatz kommen, die Nemesis-Stretchgoals sind schon grundiert

Ich habe die erste Figur von #SuperFantasyBrawl angemalt, wobei die schwarzen Streifen des Tigers noch fehlen. Da fehlt mir zurzeit der Mut.

Ich habe dazu die mitgelieferte Grundierung benutzt und damit ging es wunderbar. Kann sein, dass es sich mit anderen Grundierungen anders verhält, wie es sich ja auch in den Kickstarter-Kommentaren andeutet. Aber ich benutze generell nur Vallejo ansonsten und die scheint ja auch zu gehen - was mich aber auch gewundert hätte, wenn nicht.
Ich habe die Nemesisfiguren mit der Airbrush und der Grundierung aus dem Kickstarter bemalt, was etwas länger gedauert hat als wenn ich es mit meiner üblichen Vallejo-Grundierung gemacht hätte. Die Farbe ist sehr schnell getrocknet und hat die Airbrush verstopft, aber wenn ich den Verdünner genommen habe, fand ich sie etwas dünn. Das Ergebnis ist auf jeden Fall auch gut, aber da werde ich noch etwas Zeit investieren müssen, bevor die Grundierung mit der Airbrush funktioniert - zumindest bei mir.

Das Spiel ist zwar mittlerweile schon wieder verkauft aber hier mal meine Minis von "Maus und Mystik". Waren auch die ersten Minis die ich je bemalt habe.

Jetzt brauchst du nur noch ein Spiel, in dem du sie verwenden kannst.

Ich habe festgestellt, dass ich in letzter Zeit vermehrt einfach nur "fertig werden" will und auch kein großes Interesse habe, mir sonderlich viel Mühe zu geben. Am Ende sind die Ergebnisse noch in Ordnung, "für den Tisch" ... aber teilweise grenzwertig. Bemerkt hab ichs jetzt bei den Fimiren von Heroquest. Da habe ich sehr oft "über die Linien" gemalt und habe das nur versucht zu korrigieren, wenn es wirklich heftig war (zum Beispiel bei einem großen Farbauftrag der Contrasts).
Nachteil: Die Qualität meiner Bemalung nimmt noch einmal ordentlich ab (und das, wo sie schon vorher nicht so der Oberbringer war).
Vorteil: Ich werde tatsächlich fertig. Heroquest (bzw. 1 1/2 mal Heroquest, weil ich damals eine zweite Box mit weiteren Miniaturen dazu bekommen habe ... als Ersatzteillager sozusagen) hab ich in wenigen Malstunden komplett fertig gemalt. Jetzt liegen nur noch ein paar Orks auf dem Tisch und das sind neben den Skeletten wirklich die einfachsten Miniaturen. Am Ende hab ich alle Minis sicher unter 6 Stunden weggemalt (inkl. Grundierung und Lackierung).
Warum stört mich das nicht? Vermutlich, weil die Qualität meiner Bemalung über die ganzen Jahre kaum besser wurde ... und mir der Verlust der Zeit gehörig auf die Nüsse geht ... so sehen die Minis fürs Spiel in Ordnung aus. Aber mehr auch nicht

Ich male auch nicht für die Vitrine, und freue mich darüber nach ca 500 bemalten Minis noch immer schneller vorwärts zu kommen, und dabei noch immer kleine Fortschritte zu machen, ich bin aber vermutlich nicht so Anspruchsvoll wie du.
ZB. wenn ein Gesicht einfach nicht klappen will, weil die Augen so gestaltet wurden, daß die Farbe auch beim 2. oder 3. Versuch an der falschen Stelle landet, dann werden halt nur dunkle Augenhöhlen angedeutet.
Das sieht dann auf Fotos teilweise ziemlich grausig aus. Auf dem Tisch machen sich diese Figuren aber trotzdem klasse.
Entscheidend ist, daß dir das Bemalen Spaß macht. Wenn ich ewig an einer Figur rumdoktern muß, läßt der Spaß nach.
Ein paar Beispiele aus dem vor ein paar Tagen abgeschloßenen Malprojekt, die in der Detailansicht wenig taugen, auf dem Tisch aber (zumindest für mein trübes Auge) richtig was her machen:

Mein Grundprinzip ist: Bemalt ist immer schöner anzusehen als unbemalt. Von daher sehe ich das ähnlich wie ihr. Im Vergleich zu anderen hier sehen meine Minis nicht annähernd so gut aus. Da ich aber selber nie damit gerechnet hatte, dass ich tatsächlich mal Minis bemalen werde, bin ich trotzdem sehr zufrieden mit den Ergebnissen, zumal wie Eingangs erwähnt das Spiel optisch in jedem Fall aufgewertet wird.

Mein Fazit bis jetzt: es ist wirklich sehr kompliziert Miniaturen anzumalen, besonders wenn man sich mit der Materie noch nie beschäftigt hat. Jedoch macht es wirklich sehr viel Spaß und ist auch super entspannend.
Natürlich freue ich mich schon auf eure Reaktionen und selbstverständlich auch auf Kritik bzw. Verbesserungsvorschläge .

Maus : Ich finde das Andeuten der Augen vollkommen hinreichend. Sonst sehen die Figuren für mich immer so aus, als würden sie die Gegenüber erstaund anstarren. Mit den Augenbrauen kann man auch gut unterschiedliche Ausdrücke erstellen.
Ich habe jetzt keine guten Beispiele parat, nur dieses Bild zur Ansicht wie ich es pinsel.

Den "erstaunten" Blick kann man ganz leicht umgehen. Die Pupillen müssen einfach nur sowohl den oberen als auch den unteren Rand des Auges berühren. Schon ist kein erstaunter oder verängstigter Blick mehr da.
Ich mache allerdings überhaupt keine Pupillen mehr. Bei mir werden Augen komplett weiß ... und fertig. Reicht aus.

Ich glaube aich, dass es für das Brettspielen ausreicht, wenn man das nötigste anmalt. Es bringt häufig aber auch einfach eine Menge Spaß, die Figuren möglichst gut anzumalen. Zuletzt war das bei mir bei Nemesis so (den Xenos!) und bei KD:M werde ich mich auch geduldig ransetzen.
Für sowas wie die Mini Flut von Darkest Dungeon werde ich mal die Contrast Paints von Citadel testen.

Für sowas wie die Mini Flut von Darkest Dungeon werde ich mal die Contrast Paints von Citadel testen.
Wie funktioniert das mit den Contrast Paints?

Ich denke auch, man muss abwägen. Malt man an wegen dem Spaß am Anmalen oder um mit angemalten Figuren zu spielen. Erstes macht mehr Spaß wenn man sich Mühe gibt und nicht nur die Figurenflut "abarbeitet", letzteres führt zu Frust, wenn man zu lange für die Figuren benötigt.

Es ist eine Aufwand-Nutzen-Abwägung. Ich lege nicht allzu viel Wert auf Details, weil es mir einfach zu anstrengend ist. Und wenn ich hier und da etwas übermale, ist das für.mich auch kein Drama.
Um Zeit zu gewinnen, bemale ich fast nur noch mit den Contrast Farben. Hatte mir alle Farben davon gekauft. Die sind schon sehr einfach zu verarbeiten und liefern für mich mehr als ausreichend gute Ergebnisse ab. Manche davon decken besser als andere, aber insgesamt eine sehr lohnenswerte Anschaffung für mich.

Das bemalen der Figuren ist für mich nur dann von Interesse, wenn das Spiel bleibt. Dann bemale ich auch erst die Helden und danach die anderen Figuren, und zwar wenn Zeit und Lust zusammen treffen. Und weil das Spielen vor geht, wird bei uns auch mit nur teilweise bemalten Sets (nicht mit teilweise bemalten Figuren ) gespielt.
Allerdings bemale ich schon, um es gut aussehen zu lassen, nicht damit ich fertig werde. Da bin ich wohl durch 30 Jahre gestalterischer Tätigkeit vorgeschädigt. Somit kann es schon etwas dauern, bis ein Spiel vollständig eingefärbt ist.

Wie funktioniert das mit den Contrast Paints?
Contrast Paints (Von Games Workshop) sind flüssige, stark pigmentierte Farben die auf einen weißen oder schmutzig weißen Untergrund direkt aus dem Töpfchen aufgetragen werden (Silbern funktioniert auch für metallic Look).
Der Effekt ist, dass in den Tiefen die Farbe dunkler wird und auf den Kanten etwas heller. Man trägt also nur eine Farbschicht auf und hat direkt auch ein Shading (Wie z.B. mit einem dunklen Wash) und einen schwachen High-Lightning Effekt.
Der Nachteil ist, dass die Figur lange nass ist (Kann man natürlich prima Wet blenden), und man warten muss bis man den nächsten Teil anmalt.
Hab hier mal ein Beispiel von dem Gryph-hound Orange (Sonst kein Contrast):
Ist etwas dunkler, weil kein weißer Untergrund. War glaub ich eine Vallejo Bone White.
