Der Besitzer hat mir erlaubt, den von mir gespielten Charakter zu bepinseln. Die "Steinhaut" habe gebürstet, weil ich das bei Stein fast immer so mache. ... aber jetzt sieht mir das zu sehr gebürstet aus naja.

Sieht doch sehr schick aus! Ein verdünntes Wash kann helfen, den Brush-Look wieder weicher aussehen zu lassen... Würde ich mal probieren...

Ein bisschen Wash ist da auch drauf und hie und da noch ein bisschen nachgearbeitet. Der soll ja schon so aussehen. Gebürstete Haut sieht am Ende für mich immer nach Faulheit aus. Als hätte man keinen Bock gehabt, etwas "richtig" zu bemalen. Bei der Figur ein unlösbares Dilemma.
Ich hab schon ewig nicht mehr gemalt und irgendwie fällt es mir schwerer mich zu konzentrieren. Kleine Details verschwimmen mir vor den Augen bei denen ich früher kein Problem hatte. Ich werde wohl langsam alt und dabei habe ich immer damit gerechnet im Ruhestand endlich die Armeen bemalen zu könne, die die Schränke füllen.

Vielleicht auch zu wenig Licht?
Das ist bei mir oft die Ursache, wenn ich Mühe damit habe, Details richtig zu erkennen. Wenn dann noch generell Müdigkeit dazukommt, dann tritt genau das ein, was du beschreibst. Insbesondere, wenn ich mit dunklen Farben oder Metallfarben arbeite, wenn Farbunterschiede nur gering sind, oder wenn die Konturen der Mini etwas unscharf sind (was bei der Mini von dir der Fall ist - alles ein bisschen soft, scheint mir).
Ich würde vorschlagen: besorg dir mal eine ordentlich helle Lampe (am besten eine Tageslichtlampe) oder eine zweite als Support, falls ersteres schon vorhanden ist. Dann nimm dir eine Mini mit richtig schön scharfen Details und bemal sie in normal hellen Farben.
Wenn du dann immer noch unscharf siehst und Konzentrationsschwierigkeiten hast, dann solltest du.... vielleicht mal zum Optiker und Weitsichtigkeit prüfen lassen?

Naja, Haut vs Stein(haut). Ich weiß aber, was Du meinst. Zwar ist Bürsten eine schöne Technik, um schnell Erfolge zu erzielen, aber es ist immer die Gefahr, sie zu oft einzusetzen, eben für Bereiche, die in Layern schöner wären.
Dennoch greife ich immer bei Waffen darauf zurück, da Dunkelgraue Grundfarbe mit Leadbelcher gebrusht ein herrlich "grobes" Metall ergibt, welches nur noch schwach mit Schwarz gewasht werden muss und leichte Akzente bekommt danach.
Zu der Haut der Craghearts - Du könntest mir einem helleren Grau-Braun die erhabenen Bereiche, wie die Risse (Kanten) um sein "Herz", die Augenbrauen, Lippen und Finger noch gezielter highlighten, eben nicht bürsten, sondern normal malen. Das könnte ein wenig den "Faul"-Look mildern...

Kommt halt immer auf den Einsatzzweck an. Möchte ich Ausstellungsstücke produzieren oder soll es zweckmäßig zum häufigen Spielen verwendet werden.

Hej,
ich war schon öfter kurz davor mit dem Malen zu beginnen, habe bisher aber immer nicht die passende Ausrüstung oder zu großen Respekt davor gehabt. Letztens habe ich den ersten Schritt gemacht und mir Pinsel (LuPri Expert Pinsel Dreikant 0, 0/1, 2/0, 3/0, 4/0 und einen Drybrush-Pinsel), Base Primer (Army Painter schwarz und weiß), Citadel Munitorum Varnish und Quickshades (Army Painter "Stong/Dark Tone") gekauft.
Was mir jetzt nocht fehlt sind vorallem die Farben. Bei Rot und Gelb sollte ich mich an Vallejo halten, aber welche Farben sollten zu einer gut sortierten Auswahl gehören? Einsteigen werde ich wahrscheinlich mit "Nemesis", da gibt es viel zu bemalen und wenn etwas nicht direkt klappt, dann kann ich es eher verschmerzen als bei "Cthulhu Wars".
Gibt es sonst noch etwas, was ihr für essentiell haltet und was ich mir unbedingt mitbestellen sollte?

Wenn du kein Gefühl fürs Mischen hast, würde ich Farben nach Miniatur auswählen und möglichst immer 3 Schattierungen kaufen. Base, 1. Highlight und 2. Highlight.
Braun 3x für Leder kann man immer brauchen, mit dem hellsten Braunton kann man auch vieles andere aufhellen. Schwarz und Eshin grey (Blaugrau) als Highlight für Schwarze Sachen. Hautfarben. Und dann würd ich gucken: Blau und Rottöne Plus Gelb.
Daraus lassen sich viele Violette und Grüne schon mischen.
Kernseife oder Pinselreiniger wäre ganz gut, wenn die Pinsel länger halten sollen

....mmmhh ,manchmal hilft einfach nur "einfach machen" bzw. anfangen.. Grundtöne gelb, rot orange ,grün ,blau und Braun in hell und dunkel , plus schwarz und weiß, zwei Schader , Grundierung ( eventuell in passendem Grundton)... und nicht zuviel auf einmal wollen

Mir fallen da vor allem zwei Dinge ein:
1) Lahmian Medium. Damit kannst du erstens die Army Painter Wash verdünnen (Strong Tone ist schon ziemlich dunkel, das würde ich unverdünnt nicht auf jede Mini draufklatschen), zweitens kannst du dir damit auch deine Washes in jeder x-beliebigen Farbe selber machen.
2) Eine gute, helle Lampe, am besten eine Tageslichtlampe. Erstens siehst du dann besser, was du da grade anmalst (vor allem bei schwarzer Grundierung kann es gar nicht hell genug sein), zweitens wird der Farbeindruck nicht durch die Farbtemperatur deiner Raumbeleuchtung verfälscht.
Das wären so die zwei Dinge, die ich als "Must Have" klassifizieren würde. Priorität hat hier aber ganz klar die Lampe, die ist nicht nur ein "Must Have", die ist absolut essentiell.

Mal ne Frage an die Profis:
Woran kann es liegen, wenn nach dem Wash (nutze GW) an manchen tiefen Stellen graue bis weiße Stellen auftreten? Würde fast sagen, dass die ganze Farbe abgegangen ist, aber die Mini ist eigentlich dunkelgrau und die Stellen hellgrau bis weißlich.
Ich habe die Mini mit einem Grundierspray grundiert und direkt den Wash aufgetragen, da ich bereits für meine Orcs grün grundiert habe (auch GW Grundierung). Tritt nicht an allen tiefen Stellen auf, aber an manchen.
Zu dicker Wash? Die GW Wahres muss ich ja eigentlich nicht mit Wasser verdünnen oder?

Kannst du mal n Foto machen? Hatte ich so noch nie. Nein Washes brauchst du nicht verdünnen. Und wenn, dann würden die Stellen nicht weisslich werden

Mir ging es beim Lackieren einmal genau so.
Im Endeffekt sind wir nach vielem Hin und Her mit langjährigen Malern draufgekommen, dass zu viel Lack aufgesprüht wurde, der sich in den Tiefen Stellen gesammelt hat und das Weiß war quasi einfach eine riesen Portion Lack die hart geworden ist.

Genau das hatte ich schonmal und dann auch so silber graue Effekte. Einfach den Wash ordentlich schütteln dann passt das wieder. (Auf dem Foto kann ich zumindest nicht wirklich was erkennen, vermute also, dass es ähnlich gelagert ist)

Mich hat das „direkt“ stutzig gemacht. Du hast die Grundierung aber schon ordentlich trocknen lassen?
Ansonsten eventuell Fettflecken auf der Mini, bevor du grundiert hast. Aus welchem Material sind denn die Minis?

nö Grundierung und Wash geht eigentlich sehr gut. Ich tippe auch auf die Trennung. Die ist tatsächlich milchig, daran hab ich gar nicht gedacht

Ja die Grundierung war mehr als trocken. Minis sind aus Plastik. Die Fettflecken würden sich ja bereits bei der Grundierung zeigen und nicht erst nach dem Wash an manchen Stellen, oder?

Ich habe in letzter Zeit mal die Mini von #JagdnachdemRing bemalt. Mal wieder „quick & dirty“, aber ich konnte sie nicht so lassen, wie man sie beim Kauf bekommt.

Die farbigen Bases habe ich irgendwie dezent machen wollen. So richtig toll finde ich es nicht, aber vermutlich wird die Faulheit siegen und es bleibt einfach so. Live sehen sie auch deutlich dunkler aus...

Einmal fertige Figuren fürs Ringkrieg pimpen (Base kann und soll nicht gestaltet werden):
Dann nochmal ein echtes Work in Progress von einer "Harry Potter Miniature Adventure Game" Figur, das Spiel soll zwar so lala sein aber die Miniaturen sind wirklich toll (zumindest wenn man dann endlich mal alle Verstärkungen entfernt hat):
Und zu guter Letzt noch ein Nachwuchsmaler (?) bei seiner ersten Figur (dafür, dass er sonst mit Stiften malen hasst, bin ich darüber nicht unglücklich...)
