Nachdem ich mir nun endlich Nemesis zugelegt habe (thx Lighthammel ), juckte es mich tierisch in den Fingern, einen ersten Versuch zu wagen und einer Alienfigur Leben einzuhauchen.
Sagen wir mal so, ich bin motiviert weiterzumachen. 😊 Vielleicht verpasse ich der Base noch Rostflecke, oder lasse mir etwas anderes einfallen. Schleimflecke würden auch gut passen. Auf den Fotos schaut die Base gar nicht so silbrig aus. Da muss ich eventuell noch etwas tun.
Meine Frau meinte, ich bin verrückt schon einmal Figuren anzumalen, ohne Nemesis gespielt zu haben. Ganz Unrecht hat sie nicht, aber ich mag auch net mit grauen Figuren spielen und notfalls freut sich bestimmt jemand über ein Exemplar mit bemalten Figuren. Mal schauen.
Ich überlege noch, ob die Aliens alle ein identisches Farbmuster bekommen oder ich zwischen der Alienstärke unterscheiden werde.

Sieht super aus! Wäre für meinen Geschmack allerdings ein wenig zu "glänzend". Ich persönlich habe den Aliens auch noch ein wenig Blut für den Blutgott von Citadel verpasst, um dem Splatter-Thema gerecht zu werden. Sowas ist natürlich reine Geschmackssache!

Naja egal. Für die Basen mag ich gerne die grünen Leuchtstreifen, so wie man es auch auf dem Spielplan sieht. Schau einfach mal hier; Nemesis

Das müsste sich legen, wenn am Ende noch eine Lackschicht darüber kommt. Da fällt mir ein, dass ich mir noch welchen besorgen muss, mich aber noch nicht für einen entscheiden konnte.

Hmmm…die grünen Leuchtstreifen gefallen mir sehr gut. Den Spielplan hatte ich noch gar nicht betrachtet und nur das restliche Material begutachtet und mich direkt auf den Paintjob von 2 Alienfiguren gestürzt. 🫢

Ui, mal gucken ob ich das noch zusammenbekomme...
Angefangen mit glaube ich mit Frozen Flesh von Nocturna/Vallejo. Dann über Cold Flesh zu Highlight Skin (auch Noc/Vall). Immer Lilac von AK beigemischt.
Schatten reingezogen zuerst mit Arcane Purple (Scale), dann ein verdünnter Mix aus Volupus Pink und Flesh Tearer Red (GW), zum Schluss als Glaze verdünntes Dark Brown Ochre (Scale Artist).

Nach shadesofdecay Bilder hier zu posten ist natürlich Harakiri, aber irgendeiner muss ja Daher traue ich mich mal und präsentiere hier mein erstes abgeschlossenes größeres Malprojekt mit der Slapchop-Technik. Genutzt habe ich dazu die Speedpaints von Army Painter, Details zu meiner aktuellen Vorgehensweise hatte ich schon einmal verlinkt, trotzdem hier nochmals für Interessierte.
Bin mit den meisten Figuren ziemlich zufrieden, habe auch während des Projekts immer weiter dazugelernt und langsam aber sicher steige ich von "blutiger Anfänger" in die Klasse "Amateur" auf Ich denke nach den ~70 Figuren meines Chronicles of Drunagor-Pledge, die nun als nächstes folgen, werde ich die Technik drauf haben...
Hier nun die Bilder, leider nur mit dem Smartphone aufgenommen, habe keine professionelle Technik dafür. In echt gefallen mir die Minis ehrlich gesagt deutlich besser als auf den Bildern, aber ich denke das liegt v.a. an der Foto-Qualität inkl. Farbdarstellung usw..
P.S. Wenn jemand einen Tipp zur besseren Fotografie von Minis hat, ohne gleich teure Technik anzuschaffen, dann gerne her damit
Nachtrag: Hab nun noch ein Versuch mit weniger Licht und nur meinen Favoriten-Minis gestartet. Ergebnis des Fotos nicht viel besser, aber etwas schon aus meiner Sicht:

einfachster Tipp für gute Fotos:
Schnapp dir ein weißes A4 Blatt Papier. Stelle die Figur auf ca der vorderen Hälfte ab und lasse die hintere Hälfte in einem Bogen (nicht knicken, stelle es dir wie die Lehne eines Holzsstuhls vor) nach oben wegstehen.

Danke! Mir gefallen die Augen bei vielen Minis am besten, wenn sie dem menschlichen Auge nachempfunden sind, sind hier bei Wonderlands War ja auch viele menschliche Wesen. Daher male ich zuerst mit reinem Weiß (klassische Base-Farbe) das ganze Auge aus mit einem feinen Pinsel, den Pinsel "Army Painter Wargamer Detail" nutze ich dafür zumeist. Und dann mit einem noch feineren Pinsel (Army Painter Insane Detail) nehme ich ganz wenig schwarze Farbe auf die Spitze des Pinsels und setze einen winzigen Punkt (und halte dabei die Luft an, da ich sonst zu sehr wackele ) als Pupille so in das weiß, dass das Auge in die gewünschte Richtung "schaut". Häufig klappt das nicht beim ersten Mal perfekt, dann gehe ich ganz schnell mit etwas Wasser auf dem Pinsel zur Korrektur hin und nehme die Farbe wieder ab. Oder zur Not male ich nochmals weiß drüber über den falschen schwarzen Punkt, das trocknet ja sofort und lässt sich dann wieder übermalen. Danach dann das gleiche beim zweiten Auge, die Blickrichtung muss hier natürlich zum ersten Auge passen, dass die Figur nicht schielt. Bei Wonderlands War war die Blickrichtung tw. durch die Mini schon vorgegeben, da hier die Pupillen bereits angedeutet waren vom "Guss" der Mini her (bei Alice z.B.), das macht es leichter.
Wenn ich es so beschreibe fällt auf, dass die Iris (das farbige im Auge) fehlt, ist also doch kein menschliches Auge ehrlich gesagt^^ Aber das wäre für meine Skills, bisher zumindest, zuviel des Guten.

eine Option, bei "richtigen" Menschen und natürlichem Aussehen, sollte man den
Hintergrund etwas weicher gestalten, z.B. Weiß mit einem Tropfen Gelb.
Die Linse bemale ich bei Massenproduktion mittlerweile mit einem Faber Fineliner [Anzeige],
da ich dann nicht immer wieder Farbe mit dem Pinsel aufnehmen muß.Bei etwas verdeckteren Stellen (bzw. wenig Figuren auf dem Tisch), greife ich auf
meinen Kurzpinsel zurück, damit läßt es sich grundsätzlich noch einen Tick genauer steuern.

Ich habe mich an meinen allerersten Miniaturen versucht. Genutzt habe ich Speedpaints und die Slapchop-Methode. Mit dem Ergebnis bin ich zufrieden - besser als ich erwartet hatte .
Der Zeitaufwand waren zwei Abendw a ca. 2h für diese 7 Minis.
Ich konne schon mega viel lernen (Farben mischen, Übergänge usw) und bin gespannt, ob ich mich bei den nächsten Figure steigern kann. Nur Highlights konnte ich nicht groß setzen - geht das überhaupt mit Speedpaints?

Nee, für Highlights musst du andere Farben nehmen. Speedpaints machen ja eigentlich genau das Gegenteil oder vielmehr betonen die Vertiefungen.

Das sind für mich immer die bemerkenswertesten Fotos. Eine Miniatur bemalen bekommt man immer irgendwie hin, aber das Sitzfleisch, einen kompletten CMON Plastikklopper mit Farbe zu versehen, ist immer ein anderes Level von beeindruckend

Vielen Dank und keine Sorge, es wird auch ausgiebig gespielt. Vor jedem Szenario werden die passenden Figuren bemalt, so kommt man irgendwann automatisch durch

Du kannst entweder Speedpaints untereinander mischen, um entsprechend eine hellere Farbe zu bekommen, oder zB ein offwhite (Pale Sand als Beispiel) reinmischen. Ggf noch etwas SP Medium dazu.

Ihr ahnt es schon - es geht einfach immer weiter mit #CthulhuWars . Nach mehrwöchiger Pause endlich die drei Dark Young/Dunklen Jungen fertiggestellt.

Die liefen bei mir auch unter dem Motto "Ich hab die Zähne schön!". Doch einiges an Mündern beim bemalen entdeckt.
