Eeeeendlich habe ich mal durchgezogen und die Bone Eaters abgehakt, außerdem noch das Einzelfoto von der Moldorf-Archäologin gemacht.

Konnte jetzt zeitlich bedingt leider paar Tage nicht malen. Denke Oathsworn wird daher auch nicht vor dem neuen Jahr auf den Tisch kommen. Will es ja bemalt haben wenn wir spielen.
Heute habe ich den Cur bemalt. Knappe 3h inkl der Armory.
Bases folgen noch ganz zum Schluss da ich diese einheitlich haben möchte

Heute den Priest bemalt. Irgendwo sagte mir mal jemand, dass man vermutlich selbst sein größter Kritiker ist. Jepp! Ich find die Bemalung so lala. Vlt ändert sich das wenn die Base gemacht wird.

Vllt nochmal ein dunkles Wash über die silberne Rüstung, damit die etwas mehr Tiefe kriegt?

bin bei Dune Imperium gut voran gekommen, fehlen nur noch die Agenten, dran bleiben lohnt sich bin schon deutlich flotter unterwegs

Ja ggf das. Sind aber eigentlich die speedpaints 😅 das Licht macht aber auch einiges aus. Bei normalem Licht wirken die Figuren ganz anders.

ein fertiges Base macht einen riesen Unterschied. Mir fehlt bei dem Metall aber auch ein wash oder Tiefe.

Ich glaube, das war ich mit der Kritik rocky1988 . Aber vielleicht hat es auch einmal jemand anders gesagt.
Jedenfalls finde ich es auch ganz wichtig, um eine Figur zu beurteilen, dass alles angemalt ist. Selbst wenn ein Fitzel, wie ein Beutel, Gürtel, Schwertscheide,.... nicht bemalt ist, sieht das, was ich bemale, unrund aus. Mir fehlt die Phantasie die unbemalten Stellen zu füllen. Erst wenn die auch ein wenig Farbe haben, geht es gut. Und leider gehört die Base dazu. Wenn Du noch keinen Plan für die Base hast, mal sie einfach Schwarz. Dann hast du den maximalen Kontrast zu den anderen Farben, die Du verwendet hast. Dadurch kann man erkennen, ob man woanders noch etwas ändern möchte oder ob die Bemalung doch ganz ok aussieht.

Eine Vorstellung für die Gestaltung der Bases habe ich schon, ich wollte die wirklich nur alle zum Schluss machen da ich diese einheitlich gestalten möchte. Da die Speedpaints so schnell austrocknen wollte ich damit einfach bisschen an Farbe einsparen, daher kommen die zum Ende dran

Das mit dem "Farbe einsparen" solltest du hinter dir lassen. Das blockiert nur den kreativen Fluß.
Selbst wenn man ein paar Tröpfchen mehr als sonst verbraucht, muss man schon unmengen an Minis bemahlen, damit die leer werden.

Ich brauche mal wieder einen Tipp von euch. Ich hab jetzt den Schritt "gewagt" und mir Ölfarben gekauft und würde damit gerne mein Slapchop verbessern.
Meint ihr, die Frosthaven Minis eignen sich gut dafür und wenn ja, was für ein Wash würdet ihr empfehlen?
In einem Video wurde empfohlen, Burnt Umber mit schwarz zu mixen. Soll ich das einfach über alle Figuren machen (zwecks Einheitlichkeit) oder vielleicht schwarz/blau (passend zu "Frost") oder würdet ihr für jede Figur individuelle Washes empfehlen?
Und: Versaue ich mir mit den Ölwashes die Bases, die ich jetzt dummerweise schon fertig gemacht hatte?

Immerlicht Ich hab null Ahnung von Ölfarben, kann aber zumindest beitragen, dass Don Suratos einige Videos dazu hat :

Ich würde den Kontrast noch mal erhöhen, zB durch leichtes Highlight /Shading. Das kannst du ebenso mit Speedpaints machen, teils wirkt ein weiterer Layer der gleichen Farbe schon Wunder.

Ich hab viel mit Ölfarben rumprobiert und manche Miniatur komplett in Öl oder mit Öl-Washes bemalt:
Die stark mit Lösemittel verdünnten Ölfarben laufen dir definitiv, wenn du nicht sehr vorsichtig bist, in den Kunstschnee auf der Basis.Mit Ölfarben kannst du kaum was kaputtmachen: Wenn es dir nicht gefällt, nimm Makeup-Schwämmchen (saugstark und fusseln weniger als Ohrenstäbchen oder so) und wisch den Kram ab. Kriegst du manches nicht aus den Lücken / Falten, nimm einen Pinsel, tunk ihn direkt in den Verdünner und geh damit an die Stellen.

Bedenke aber auch: Ölfarben trocknen meist sehr glänzend. Da müsste man dann nochmal mit einem Mattspray drübergehen, wenn dich das stört.

(und ja die Minis standen nach dem bemalen noch mehrere Tage zum trockenen außerhalb des Kartons)

Liegt aber dann vielleicht an den verwendeten Ölfarben? Für Schmincke (in verschiedenen Varianten) , Williamsburg oder Gamblin kann ich das nicht bestätigen.

Du kannst noch versuchen die Bases zu maskieren,
z.B. mit Vallejo Maskiermittel, bei Unebenheiten könnte
es alldings etwas frickelig werden das Zeug wieder abzubekommen.
Die Alternative wäre mit Maskierbögen oder Maskierband
zu arbeiten, wird aber sicher nicht ganz so dicht.

@MakeUp Schwämmchen: Ich hatte damals mal geguckt und pro Stück waren die im Internet Bestellbaren nicht günstiger als die "Ebeling Präzisionsschwämmchen" von DM. Da hab ich mir immer mal wieder 1-2 Packungen von gekauft; die dreieckigen Teile, die da drin sind, zerschneidet man ja eh fitzelig klein, um nicht zu viel zu verbrauchen. Meine 3 Packungen (a 1.55€) halten nun schon EWIG!

Ähm kurze Frage da ich was das Thema Shade angeht noch nicht so drin geübt bin glaube ich. Bisher habe ich ausschließlich das Citadel Nuln Oil verwendet. Meint ihr so etwas damit, oder ggf. eine Farbe dieses Sets hier: https://taschengelddieb.de/the-army-paint…hes-set-10x18ml

Pünktlich zu den Feiertagen fertig mit Atnas, eine herrlich verquere Miniatur.
@Öl: bei mir hat da noch nie was gestunken und meine angerührten Washes trocknen matt (Windsor&Newton Winton-Farben).
