Size DOES matter. Und das Plastikmonster soll tatsächlich im Spiel eingebunden sein. Wie auch immer das zu bewerkstelligen ist.
Seit Cthulhu Wars stehe ich ja auf große Figuren. Das hier hat aber dann doch etwas übertriebenes an sich. Übertrieben kann auch gut sein. Wenn es nur nicht so hässlich wäre! Es sieht aus wie das Ding aus dem Sumpf, dem Spaghetti aus dem Kiefer hängen und dem Frankenstein zwei verrottete Flügel angenäht hat... Unförmig. Da helfen auch die Furunkel am Po nichts mehr, um den Horror zu vertiefen...
Da hätte ich mir etwas filigraneres / detaillierteres, ähnlich der Version von Richard Luong gewünscht:

Da muss ich dir recht geben, schön ist was anderes. Und damit meine ich nicht, dass Cthulhu ansonsten Schönheitswettbewerbe gewinnen würde. Das sieht wirklich einfach aus wie ein Klumpen Plastik mit Spaghetti dran

15cm? Das Ding aus dem Video sah nach 50cm aus Ich hatte ihm schon einen Platz im Säuglingsbett reserviert und sah mich den kleinen Großen schon im Kinderwagen umherschieben...

15 cm? Äh. Ich bin extrem irritiert. Dann müssen die anderen Figuren sehr klein sein und kein 30 mm Standard, denn 150 mm hat auch Cthulhu Wars und das Video erweckt da andere Größenvorstellungen.

Die 15 cm beziehen sich auf die Figur von Richard Luong. Spaghetti-Cthulhu von CMON wird eher 50-60 cm groß sein.

Das sind keine 15 cm. Auf dem Bild oben haben sie ein Kleinkind daneben gesetzt. Das ist sicherlicher nicht nur 15cm sitzend.

Seltsamer Mix aus den 80ern! Aber auch hier fühle ich mich irgendwie angesprochen

Bei dem Plastikverbrauch den CMON hat, wäre es eine tolle Idee, wenn sie für ihre Minis Plastik wiederverwerten würden. Für den Kunden würde sich prinzipiell nicht viel ändern und man hätte ein großes Alleinstellungsmerkmal, welches in den Medien aufgegriffen würde und dem ein oder anderen Kunden auch 5$ mehr wert sein könnte. Vom Publicity-Aspekt abgesehen, würde man der Umwelt mit den produzierten Spielen auch etwas Gutes tun.
Die Figur finde ich ebenfalls nicht schön, aber wenn das Kleinkind schon die passende Figur besitzt, sollten die Eltern vielleicht bei Petersen Games den Late-Pledge für das Cthulhu-Kinder(gesangs)buch nutzen.
Vielleicht ist die Figur an sich aber auch das Alleinstellungsmerkmal, da sie auf diese Weise die Altersempfehlung des Spiels runtersetzen können. Verschluckungsgefahr scheint bei der Größe zumindest keine zu bestehen.

Aber ich habe die Größe der Richard Luong Figur jetzt mal überprüft und meinen Lütten daneben fotografiert. Sie ist ebenfalls gigantisch. Vielleicht überlegt sich CMON es nochmal und nutzt doch lieber diese Figur!
Zum Vergleich: Mein Sohn mit Hörnern ist 80 cm groß. Und er steht etwas erhöht. (Näher hat er sich an das Monster nicht heran getraut ) Das bedeutet, dass die cthuloide Figur einfach riesig ist! Aber seht selbst:

Ok, dann ist ja gut. Mal sehen, das Spiel interessiert mich nicht, aber die Figur hätte ich Lust anzumalen. Vom Artdesign gefallen mir beide Figuren nicht. Viel zu wulstig.

Die von Luong würde ich sogar nehmen. Den Kram von CMON nicht. Ich frage mich wie sie das epische Finale ohne diese exklusive Figur darstellen, wird das dann nur ein Pappmarker, der nen riesigen Durchmesser hat oder fehlt der Retailversion dann dieses Finale?

Das Spiel soll ja "Szenarien" beinhalten. Erinnert mich ein wenig an 7 Sins. Man sucht sich ein Szenario aus und einen Gegner (hier einer der Großen Alten).
Ich vermute es gibt einfach ein besonderes Szenario rund um diese Figur, die auch dann den Großen Alten vorgibt und man dann mit dieser Figur spielt. Man brauch sie also im Grunde überhaupt nicht, außer man möchte dieses spezielle Szenario spielen.

Peer überhaupt nicht. Du siehst doch was wegen der blöden Figur allein hier los ist. Selbst in der CW-Facebook-Gruppe wird groß und breit darüber diskutiert. Das Ergebnis wird sein: die Kampagne ist in aller Munde und zumindest wird nachgeschaut was das Dingen kostet, wenn die Kampagne live geht.
So erzeugt man Aufmerksamkeit. Wer nicht auffällt, fällt durch.

Luzifer Das dann aber als episches Finale zu bezeichnen wäre kontraproduktiv, aber ist mir auch egal. Irgendwer aus meinem Dunstkreis wird sich das Spiel holen und dann gucke ich es mir vielleicht mal an.
