Race for the Galaxy – 2nd Edition

Ein paar Infos zur 2nd Edition (2E) gab’s ja schon in einem Vortrag von Tom Lehmann auf der GDC (s. auch Designing Race for the Galaxy (Lehman himself) )

Zu den geänderten Karten: Huh... was not aware that the Race 2E will include adjusted cards! | Race for the Galaxy | BoardGameGeek

Ob die deutsche Version bei Pegasus erscheinen wird, ist wohl noch nicht ganz offiziell. Jedenfalls soll Pegasus auf Anfrage mitgeteilt haben, dass Race in „production preparation status“ sei. So oder so werden sich Interessenten noch ein wenig gedulden müssen:

Looking at the current stock levels, the first expansion that will change over will be the Brink of War sometime next year.

Yes. (From a play point of view.)

Some expansion worlds will have a "moon" on their circles helping to identify them as Novelty, Rare Elements, or Genes world (to help color-blind players). If you are playing with a 1st Edition set, then this aid won't appear on all your cards. That's it.

We are functionally updating 5 cards in the base set. These will be made available as a promo in the BGG store -- done in the original style -- for players who have the 1st Edition base game so that they can have access to the updated cards without having to buy a new base game.

Huh? You are assuming lots of changes from 1E to 2E. This is incorrect.

The major difference in the 2E expansions will be the colored moons to help deal with color-blind issues, plus some minor rules touch-ups/conversion to gender-neutral pronouns. XCS will match this style.

The base game has a few more differences:

* promo start worlds added

* start world choice option

* 5 cards adjusted (available as a promo)

* Gambling World's table moved to the rules

* increased color-blind support (moons)

* rules gender-neutral

* sample rounds of play sheet
